"run the ball and play hard! c'mon guys, enjoy the ride!"
Darn, if D'Antoni only bothered to tell his players to rebound the ball, they would have been dominating the glass right now. What a pity that none of our players figured that out for themselves.

Once Bell is healthy, he, Amare, and Nash have been the only consistent players on offense. LB is killing us out there with his tunnel vision again. Hill is not healthy yet and Diaw on bench is just the Doris we all know.

Like the way we ended the 2nd qtr but i'm not sure if were going to be able to pull this one out unless Barbosa and Bell catch fire, and Jefferson starts missing some shots but I just don't see it happening the way the wolves are playing now ugh :(. Come on suns pull through in the 2nd half

Are you watching the same game? Rewatch it! Amare is the only positive on the defensive end.
I just watched the few highlights of the first half where Amare was being abused by Jefferson. Amare's D is a joke.

Well there's obviously something to be said about bad defense.. but I mean come on, Jefferson is a horrible outside shooter, it's been the big knock on his offensive game the last two year and he's just swishing a fadeaway 17 footer like he's Nowitzki? Jeez.

FSN just ran a special on him during HT and said he's developing his jumper. He's also #2 in the NBA in offensive rebounds.

Great start with Nash & Amare and then they try to get other guys involved and no one can hit a damn shot. Bell & LB were 2-14 combined at one point. No one other than Amare is going to the basket. Marion has been invisible and picked up 3 fouls already. Refs have been pretty subpar, but with the way the Suns are sucking....it's no surprise they won't give us a call (since they let their emotions decide what they call).

I don't know why Nash sat out so long or why LB or Diaw played so much (cuz they were horrible), but D'Antoni needs to take his head out of his ass and put guys in the game that will actually hustle. Pretty crappy game for Skinner too.

I kind feel like Strawberry, Banks, Marks, Pike, and Tucker should start the 2nd half since the regulars don't give a crap. :p

Well if this defensive performance by Amare is positive that tells the whole story about his D. The guy who Amare is supposed to guard has 24 and 8 OREB in the fist half. Of course not all of those came againts Amare, but he cant do anything against Jefferson.

But its true that nobody is playing D tonight. No effort.

Amare is not the best rebounder or defender out there, but he was the best on the Suns tonight and you keep criticizing his defense? Are you expecting Russel or Dream to play for the Suns or what? Of the off. reb. by Jefferson, Amare was probably responsible for 2. It's not only his problem that he has to help out on his teammates a lot and get out of position to fight Al for rebounds all the time!

you can't blame Amare for being outscored by Jefferson. I mean, come on, if Amare was being guarded by Amare he'd have 40 by now.

Skinner was refreshing the first 10 games but lately he has been complacent or something. Often out of position on defense and jacking up 20 footers like he were Hill. There is a reason he is a journeyman we could pick up for min.

"Developing" is not "developed". He shoots 36% on anything outside of 8 feet (per 82games.com). That's bad. Amare for reference is at 45%, Nowitzki 49%, Garnett 49%.

well now that would be amare's fault.

Say all you want, Amare was the best defender on the Suns in the 1st half. What does it tell you about the state of Suns defense? So, stop singling Amare out for the goat.

I don't know why anyone ever expected anything more from skinner. He is what he is. You get what you pay for (sometimes). Skinner is worth 2-3 million while Kurt is worth 7-8 million (In my infallible opinion).

Jefferson is shooting 58% from the floor, Amare is shooting 89% and all some people can do is bash him. Unreal. Jefferson has been good, and yet Minnesota got their lead when he wasn't even in the game, when it was Antoine Walker and Corey Brewer in the game lighting up our bench and Barbosa being terrible.

Here:

Barbosa -24
Nash -1

Jefferson MINUS TWO
A. Walker +13

Let's blame Amare though.

The Timberwolves have 65 points on 54% shooting at the half and have 11 offensive rebounds. They average 93.7 points on 44% shooting for the season. Ugh.

Al Jefferson in particular has 20 pts in the 1st half on 58.8% shooting and 6 offensive rebounds. His average is 20.4 points per game on 49.3% shooting and 3 offensive rebounds.
