I find it hard to believe that Kerr and Sarver will make us suffer all year with this team. Its pretty obvious there are big problems that can only be fixed with changes. We have no identity and we come into games with no strategies.

porter took amare out at 7 min cause he just stood there on the previous defensive play at the top of the key while the warriors took it in for the dunk. at least he pointed to the guy.

amare is done with the suns. just get rid of him already. he doesn't care anymore.

Tell me why Amare had the highest +/- rating against the Kings? Hell the other night Gasol went like 2-14 and he had the highest +/- rating. Doesnt always tell the whole story. Shaq has been our most consistant offensive player because teams let him go 1 on 1 and cover everyone else and because we constantly force feed him. Its why we turn over the ball on most nights and a lot of the times it leads to face breaks for the other team.

Like I said before, we need to decide if we are going to cater to Shaq like we've been doing, or switch back to a system that hurts Shaqs stats but helps everyone else.
I don't understand your post, are you trying to defend Stoudemire by posting his plus minus in the Kings blow out game? But then saying that Gasol had a terrible night the other night but still had a good plus minus meaning that plus minus does not mean anything.
I am sorry I do not see it the same as you regarding why Amare is not playing as well. Going into Shaq on the O side to me does not excuse Stoudemire's absolutely god awful effort on the boards, and his non existant defense. Also Stoudemire is not seeing any more double teams than O'Neal is, if anything, IMO "STAT" is seeing less doubles.

After this game, is there anyone still deny Amare is the problem?

Amare is like icing on a cake and whip cream on a pie. All topping and no substance.

Also factor in that Microfracture knees are not supposed to hold up for more than 5 years or so, I see no reason why not to trade him anyway.
I also want to add that I am tired of hearing that "we will be sorry when Amare is gone and is 'tearing it up' for another team" arguement. What the hell does it matter what he does for another team if he will not do it here for OUR team. Factor in that everyone on the team seems to dislike him. I just don't see why you wouldn't trade him at this point.

I posted two different instances to prove that it means absolutely nothing. Amares effort on the boards wasnt bad 2nite. His defense was on par with the rest of the teams defense including Shaq.

Amare sees plenty of doubles and has the lane clogged because of Shaq. When Shaq gets the ball he has the whole lane to work with and do his damage without worrying about someone swiping the ball because everyone clears out.

I thought it was interesting that Tom Chambers said the Suns had to win this game tonight after the Suns had already accumulated a huge deficit. I'm wondering if the Suns FO feels the same.

This team SUCKED tonight, enough said. Don't bother dissecting this game...they SUCKED.

That is all we need to know.

It matters because we are not using him properly and because using him properly makes the most sense considering our personnel. Thats why people bring up us being sorry.

Amare also wasnt suppose to come back from Microfracture. Things are different on a case by case basis and the general knowledge of how to deal with someone that had microfracture surgery and its risks are more widely known now than it was 5 years ago.

I guess we will just have to just agree to disagree then. I used to be a huge Amare fan, I only have bought one Suns Jersey the past 10 years and it was his after he made his comeback, but I just can't stand him anymore or make excuses for him anymore.

The more i listen to TC talk about basketball and in particular this SUNS team the more i believe that he's got it figured out.
This team is soft....not as soft as DA's teams but none the less there's not enough toughness and desire going on defensively at all.
Combine that with Porters piss poor scheme, Nash & Amare's inability(or unwillingness in Stats case) to guard anyone and we're blessed with a pretty good half court offense, but a team that couldn't defend a team of retired Wal-Mart greeter's.

I never heard anything about Amare not supposed to ever make it back. Also the article I had read(it was in an ESPN magazine in 2005-06) where they had a quote from a leading doctor for that procedure, a quote given after Amare already had his surgery. Its not some quote I dug up from a decade before his operation or something like that. I understand that everything is a case by case basis, but considering that that might be a strong possibility I would rather the Suns don't give a player that has that huge of a risk a max, or close to max contract.

He gets the ball one-on-one in the post against a single defender, usually a smaller or less mobile one, and can't score. Over and over. We see him catch the ball with his back to the basket, turn around to face up, see a single defender, and then freeze in confusion. Over and over.

How much more "properly" can he be used?

Somehow this is Shaq's fault that Shaq is not being double teamed when Shaq doesn't have the ball, don't you see?

Just seeing Amare stand around with his talent makes me sick.

He just always seems content to make the flashy play and not much more. Nothing changes when Shaq goes to the bench.

Thank you. If it was the case of Shaq holding back Amare, Amare's game would change big time for the better when Shaq sits. Amare plays plenty of time by himself w/ out Shaq, yet no difference in play. I just don't get the arguement of Shaq hurting Amare's game.

Amare got a lot of minutes alone with Shaq on bench, especially recently. Actually, from my observation, Porter is trying to figure out how to use Amare "properly".

Exactly.....
At least D'Antoni wasn't bewildered by his team's pathetic defense:D.

D'Antoni was "I KNOW I am right so you all can kiss my ass".

Which simultaneously makes him great but with a tragic flaw. Guys would follow him...right off the cliff.

Porter looks befuddled and no one is trusting him to even find the cliff.

Yep. No one is going to follow Porter off a cliff.

In regard to DA, he at least made the opposing team play defense.
