I proposed a trade back in the Chris Wilcox thread about getting him and Ridnour here to Phoenix. We could possibly do a three way, since most of you didn't appreciate the trade I had proposed. I agree with you Mainstreet that Wilcox dhowed what he can do in Seattle, and was held back in Clipsland.
Maybe something like this.....
Seattle gets: Gain $2 mil but add depth, sitting @ $49 mil salary
Ben Gordon
Duhon
Deng
KT
Chicago gets: Sitting @ $41.4 mil salary (Add $8 mil is salary)
Marion
Barbosa
Phoenix gets: Sit @ $52 mil before signing Sefalosha
Lewis
Wilcox (S&T for 6 yrs/$50 mil)
Ridnour
Kryapa
Rights to Sefalosha
Benefits.....
Seattle. They relieve themselves of having to resign Lewis, Wilcox and Ridnour to BIG contracts. They can resign Gordon, Duhon and Deng to long contracts but less salary. They can let KT play out his contract or move him next summer as an expiring contract.
Chcago. They add $8 mil in salary, but they also add veteran leadership with Marion to play alongside Big Ben. They don't lose any fire power with the loss of Gordon because of Barbosa.
Phoenix. They gain salary cap space. After the trade they shed over $5 mil in salary this year. Plus, they get a back-up point that can eventually take over for Nash. They get Wilcox who can play alongside Amare and Diaw or Lewis this year to make a big opposing front line. They get Kryapa, who I think would flourish here in Phoenix, who is a very good rebounder. If we didn't resign Lewis after this year, we would still be set at the SF position with Kryapa. Plus, we get Sefalosha who would be great backing up Bell. We lose Barbosa and Marion, but we add depth at all positions (Wilcox PF/C...Lewis SF/PF...Kryapa SF/PF...Sefalosha SG/SF...Ridnour PG)
