By the way, the NBAPA official website links to Larry Coon's FAQ. It's not some random bozo work.
Most people don't try to argue points by linking to 10 giant blocks of text. But if you're still trying to argue for some impractical facial application of CBA rules--which were never in dispute anyway--then you've really missed the boat already with this one.
By the way, the fact that Coon was updating his FAQ like a madman up until 2007 is probative to most people that errors existed, and in all likelihood still do. I mean otherwise, how could he perfect upon perfection itself? But that's just me arguing like a reasonable man. Pay no mind.
If you'd like a summary of events: I'm supposedly wrong for pointing out that GM's don't take players off of waivers following a buyout, and that for all intents and purposes the waiver system has nothing to do with potential player pickups. And that the waiver system is a mere formality in those cases. The answer to something like that was apparently "Buh...buh...the rules!" even though that unprecedented application of the rules exists only in the minds of people trying to win internet arguments. Whatever.
