Why does Igor still have a job? Seriously. He brings nothing to the table at all to this team.

Cut ties with him now!

And who would take over for the rest of the season? Can you name an assistant coach on this team without looking it up? Are you confident they will get more from our players than Igor? What is accomplished by firing Igor now, what's the benefit, both long and short term?

Inconsistent, often uninspired and frequently disappears. This describes the entire team including Ayton.

Does it matter? It’s not about this season. This team just hit rock bottom setting a franchise record in futility.

I think even an assistant in this team in the interim at least injects something new. The team isn’t responding to Igor at all. I don’t think you could get less out of the team from Igor’s perspective.

Longer term it’s all about the off season. The sooner you announce the team is in the market for a new coach and let those candidates know that the draft is yours with a high pick that helps IMO.

Yes, it does matter. What candidates will be excited to join a team that gave their last coach an incomplete roster without a capable NBA level PG or PF and then fired him for not doing more with them? Don't forget they never took Triano serious as a candidate since he was ruled out as soon as last season was over. We also fired the coach before Triano after just over 1 full season at the helm. That alone should scare off anyone that may have thought they'd be interested in the job but looking deeper it does get worse.

We dropped almost all rotation players from last year with the exception of Booker, Warren, and our #4 pick Jackson. We replaced all of those players we sent packing with rookies. What team improves by replacing more than half of their staff with trainees, essentially. Igor was supposed to do more than last season why? Because Ayton's a better prospect than Alex Len? That doesn't matter when he's still so raw. He has a lot of potential but he needs time to train and get better, changing who is training him at this point probably won't help him. I know Booker and Jackson have spoken up about the coaching carousel, do we want Ayton to join them?

What is the rush to fire Igor, what is he doing right now that can't be fixed in the offseason? The only way he should be fired is we have the chance to hire an established coach that wants to come here and even then we'd have to know why he wants to come here so badly.

That makes zero sense. You know how few coaches get complete rosters when they takeover a job??? All coaches want to put their stamp on a team and get their kind of guys. I think many coaches for that matter would enjoy getting a team that already has Booker and Ayton as a building block.

Igor isn’t a good coach. I am sorry you can blame roster problems as part of it for sure but what has Igor brought to the table besides futility? This teams isn’t devoid of talent. The team isn’t responding to him and the team has in some cases gotten worse under Igor.

I think at this point it doesn’t matter when you get rid of him. Nothing is going to change until we get a competent coach in here. You can’t fix a bad coach.

the optics are very important. Bring in a big name GM (if one is even available). Clean house including the coach play it off as a complete overhaul and new direction.

this is what they have to do. If James Jones cans him, we just continue to look like a a bunch of morons spilling out of a clown car.

that said, there's no way they bring in a legit GM or fire Koko.
