In 12+ minutes (the equivilent of one quarter) versus the Clippers, Lopez totaled one made free-throw and one rebound. That's it. That's the fact.

That's worth about one quarter (25 cents). That's the opinion.

It is painful to watch him paddle away rebounds that don't fall into his hands.

Love the attached file. You oughta look into a career as a graphic artist.

Maybe New Jersey would give a little more to get RoLo. Having both twins might be a good attention getter.

I'm not sure what the disagreement is here. Griffin is very talented and is already an excellent player. He also has a major attitude, which is reinforced by being overhyped in a huge market. Being a pouty bully has not stopped Kevin Garnett from being a hall-of-famer, and it may not stop Griffin either, if his body holds up and his game continues to develop. However, it should be clear that anyone who dislikes Griffin has plenty of valid reasons from which to choose.

man... i just don't see it. i've got no dog in the griffin fight. all i see is an emotional kid who gives it his all on a poopy team with the worst owner in sports. now, he's being compared to a pouty bully like Garnett who woofs and screams from the bench, picks up Ts left and right and picks fights with guys half his size?

a "major attitude"... i really don't know what kid you guys are watching this season... actually, you guys probably AREN'T watching him this season and basing what you've seen off a couple highlights and a couple suns games where he's gotten frustrated.

The guy is immature. Plain and simple. Doesn't diminish his talent level by any means. I happen to think he will be the best player in the NBA. He isn't right now because he doesn't know how to harness that talent into a full-fledged NBA leader. You don't stare down referees, especially referees that don't take that kind of behavior. Playing in the NBA isn't as simple as putting on a pair of shoes and getting out on the floor. Like any sport, there is a learning curve and Griffin is experiencing it right now.

The hope is that he doesn't go the way of Kevin Garnett. Personally, I think he's heading toward a more athletic Karl Malone--he's not long like Garnett but he's bulky and strong like Malone. He just needs to harness his bad attitude, whether it's because he's too young or upset over being on the frickin Clippers.

I don't see attitude issues with Blake. Yes he dunks on people and tries to dominate but I heard he's a good teammate and very coachable. His aggressive style and his extraordinary talent makes him seem like a bad guy, and the hoopla at the dunk contest did not help that either but he seems good.

man... i think you guys are too hard on the kid. EVERY player stares down referees. you don't see him jawing with players, getting T'd up, bitching and complaining, getting into fights... you say he's immature "plain and simple"... yet i've never seen or heard ONE person outside of this board say ANYTHING even remotely close to that. maybe he's not a choir boy, but you'd think if he was this brat, people... someone... anyone would make that comment about him.

so confused as to what/who you guys are talking about. how he and KG are even being thrown into the same conversation confuses me.

... how or would you play Lopez? Gortat cannot play 48 minutes.
I would play Lopez (who is our inferior Center) whenever the opponent's backup Center is in the game giving their starter a breather.

When playing those few other teams who use their starting Center for just a few minutes, I'd stick with that plan. Let them be the team to play catch-up.

My daughter-in-law got her degree in graphic design. I wish I had the training she received. At my age, I'm just a find-the-right-photos/copy-paste amateur. I had to find a photo where Robin's hands were raised to the top of the frame. 'Not the easiest thing to find. :)

That really answers Mainstreet's question about Gortat not playing 48 minutes. It would force us to develop a backup role-playing Center who is strong in defense and rebounding to spell Gortat.

Although Frye has improved greatly in those areas at PF, his natural skill is still as a scorer. Lopez's only skill is scoring a couple baskets while he is in. There's very little balance there. And I believe that balance is the key to victories.

Really? The guy who wanted to go toe to toe with Hill because he wasn't able to dominate him? The guy who gives Nash a knee to the thigh at the end of the first quarter? The guy who has mastered the shove in the back - without getting caught? (Just ask Andre Miller.)

I could go on and on.

The sad moral of the story is that it works for Kevin Garnett. As long as the league looks the other way, new stars are going to take advantage of it, too.

Especially where sponsors are directly involved in the activies, such as the slam-dunk contest, which is a mistake. The new Kia commercial doesn't talk about their vehicle. It just shows the clip of Griffin jumping over the hood to dunk -- something half of the players in the NBA could probably do.

I'm waiting to see a dunk following a forward somersault, just as in those phony videos we've seen online.

I was just going to list those and some hard fouls i have seen him dished out too. he is definitely not on Garnnet "douche" level, yet and he is by no means a Dwight Howard in his rookie season.. He undoubtedly have attitude issue, like a one of those dude in the gym that are prone to 'roid rage.
Lets not forget he is a rookie, so it is possible his attitude will get better as he matures but it is also very possible he is going to get worse.

Yeah, he's always seemed to have a bit of "roid rage" to me.

Also, for whatever reason, I can't stand when he chews on his mouthpiece and gives the "I'm better than you" stare, or "What foul?" look.

Something just bugs me about him. Even more so than Garnett.
