This game was the definition of how nebulous Durant's value is.
On paper... looks like he had a pretty good game.
But almost everytime he touched the ball, the offense ground to a halt, he was awful in the clutch and just went it seemed like we might pull away in the 3rd with a 10 point lead he went "Durant mode" and gift wrapped the opposition 3 baskets from just brutally stupid turnovers and tacked on his own brand of "dribble for 20 seconds and brick a contested fadeaway or chuck the ball to a teammate who has to panic shoot as the clock runs out" offense.
For bonus negative impact, he also doesn't really bother to get back on defense after he bricks shots or throws the ball to the wrong team.
Thank you for posting this.
The main shows i listen to, finally did a binge watch to catch up as i was two months behind on PHNX and Kleens, did not mention any of this.
Kleens show, which i hate most times, they completely went at Booker for picking up 6 fouls. I mean half those were very very questionable. But to blame the game on him, cmon.
And PHNX brought up the refs, the missed Allen call, and the missed defensive assignment for the 3pt shot they made.
No one, even bothers to be critical of KD and I hate it. When KD is the offense, that is the problem within itself. He's a great individual player, but not a team player. To me he is the issue with all our woes but he somehow gets a free pass a lot of the times.
