Ayton put the clamps on Wade on that last possession.

Booker taken out and substituted for defense. I like it. Finally some in game adjustments.

Johnson realized Ayton was the guy to feed.

Grew tired of the Booker possessions down the stretch again. There was one play where Oubre took the rebound from Booker and looked him off and finished the play from end to end.

Igor still has to go.

How can our plays in crunch time again be this Booker 1v5 and pray...?

Josh Jackson barely played in the 2nd half. I think we have to move him if we can get any value.

He is way too ball dominant and taking too many shots for how inefficient he is.

Let's see after we get a real PG. Jackson, he's a smart guy, doesn't need to score that much to contribute. He's played in every game this year. He's mostly just frustrated by the whole situation right now, but there's a spot for him on this team.

Two games in a row where Tyler Johnson has stepped up. Booker may have found a running mate.

Booker was sat because he had 5 fouls and the Heat were going at him because they know he's a weak defender in foul trouble.

Ayton got the ball at the end because he was wide open under the basket, it had nothing to do with going to him instead of Booker. Johnson made the common sense play.

Not sure what Oubre/Booker play you're talking about but Booker and Oubre passed to each other a few times there at the end, including Booker assisting on Oubre's last 2 baskets.

Booker also passed to Johnson on his last 3. That's 3 key assists down the stretch. Not sure what others are saying about Booker throwing up prayers at the end because that didn't happen.

The man is 6 of 11. He's shooting better than 60% for the year. Yea, but let's shy away from that guy! o_O
He’s shooting 60% because he knows his limitations. There are 10 easy shots available to him in a game so he takes those.

He doesnt play smart at all, just reckless and is not a good defender at this point.

There are at minimum, 5-7 additional "easy shots" available to him right now... And if/when he actually learns how to get position on a consistent basis, he should have average no less than 15-18 shot attempts per game.

He will never get 18 shot attempts the way this roster is constructed

Way too many ball dominant and shot happy perimeter players that eat up posessions and a coach who is running a system designed for the center to set screens at the 3pt line.

Totally agree... which is why Igor has to go.

Yes if he was better than he is then he should shoot more.

Glad I decided to watch this when I got home. It is so nice to see them win one!

I rewatched the 4th quarter looking for some of the things that were mentioned here and just grew frustrated watching it. Somehow I convinced myself we'd lose, like I wasn't watching a replay. Pretty bad that the Suns are so bad nowadays that rewatching a game you somehow expect a different outcome. I felt pretty stupid yelling at my TV when Ayton fouled Waiters on that 3 at the end. I thought that was a bad call initially but the 2nd time I saw it I thought that's how they'd throw the game away. That's when it clicked for me that I was rewatching the ending also.

It was a good ending. The Heat put up a fight but the Suns played hard and smart, for the most part.

A good day for Valley teams. Even though, for the D-backs, it is only Spring Training.

And our upcoming temperature highs will now be 70-75, instead of lows in the 30's.

Goodbye global extremes and hello Boys of Summer. But, alas, the Suns will still be the Suns.

Maybe that is what is needed, but it seems a little short-sighted at this point. Firing a coach does will not cover up FO/management/roster mistakes (other than hiring the wrong coach). I know that many are saying that Ayton is misused and that is reason enough to fire the coach. I had this conversation on reddit that while Ayton is not getting as many shots as others on the team who should perhaps not be taking them, he is 5th in the league in paint touches. He is 8th in elbow touches. I maintain that the issue is with Ayton (naturally - a rookie with suspect conditioning) just as much if not more so than external factors.
Bring in whomever - it won't change who Ayton is today.
Wow I didn’t realize he was getting so many touches that don’t materialize into anything. That’s disappointing.

He gets the “touches” but his first instinct is to look for someone else instead of shooting/attacking.
