Why do all opposing Centers look like All-Star's against Ayton? There's something to that. A number of backups have had career games against him and then guys like Whiteside that have been All-Star's look like Hall of Famers.
Just because I knew posts like this would be coming I've been keep track closely and only 8 pts from Whiteside are on ayton , the other nine are his teammatesWhy do all opposing Centers look like All-Star's against Ayton? I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ayton jump to try to block a shot. It’s such a reflexive move for every other human that’s ever played the sport.
I mean seriously is this how you evaluate all 5 year veterans, you watch them play 4 or 5 games and then claim that is who they are?
They have this thing called career statistics - and I will give you a hint - they do a very good job of telling you how good a player is.
He is 100% a better player than he was in his first few games with us, and he is 100% not as good as he played in his last game. It really is not that tough to know whether a player is performing at their normal standard when you have years of stats to review, which in Johnson's case are actually very close year to year.

Four personal fouls on Booker.
He must have really pissed off the refs, the last two quick fouls were not worth a whistle. They are allowing a lot of contact so it's not at all consistent with what they've been calling IMO.
They are probably tired of hearing Booker complain.
That's exactly it, I'm not gonna claim he's a great defender because he has alot to learn but the opposing center numbers are not all on him, just want to put his defense in a better perspective, he's been ok tonight, good in this second half so farThank's for that. I just turned the game on and heard TC & Leander talking about Whiteside with Westphal and showed his shot chart. I assumed most was against Ayton but they didn't cover that and I didn't see it either.
Ayton has still been the starting Center for us against a number of teams that had their Center put up monster numbers. How much is on Ayton and others is questionable but I think his own line about how he's a good defender is a bit off.
It was probably for a specific reaction. Booker complains too much but so does most of the league and he's nowhere near the top IMO so I suspect he said something they didn't like.
The hell you are talking about, Ayton has been owning in the third quarter.Whiteside is just owning Ayton.
Daniels has been the Suns hidden weapon tonight.
Daniels has been the Suns hidden weapon tonight.
Daniels should have been used more than he has. I know he doesn't bring a lot to the table but he's better than Crawford and if his shot is falling he can be a huge help extending the defense, if nothing else. We could have gotten something in a trade for him if we used him throughout January.
He’s been consistently pretty good all year. I don’t get why his minutes have been so inconsistent. Even his defense has been passable.
