Once Nash is gone, the Suns will have the worst/most depressing roster in the NBA. Even Charlotte, who may actual have less talent, has a more enviable roster because at least they have young athletes with upside. The Suns just have out and out junk or mediocrity at almost every slot.

Gortat is the only guy on the Suns I'd want on my team if I were a contender. I know he's not very popular around here, but he's obviously a better than average starting Center. I hope the Suns can flip him to a contender at the deadline for some building blocks.

Where do you get that Gortat is not popular here? I'm sure the Miami Heat would love a guy like Jared Dudley. He is vertically challenged, but he's not unathletic. He stretches opposing defenses, and he has a great contract.

If Nash is really gone, the time to flip Gortat is now. His value will only go down once Nash is no longer around to spoon-feed him. Besides, then Frye moves back to C and it's easier for the Suns to figure out what they have with Morris.

Im OK with trading Gortat as long as we get value. I would want a center from this last draft (Leanard/Zeller) a young player, and maybe a pick.

No argument here. The Suns need to revisit history and recall why the Suns made the Larry Nance trade.

I don't think we should shop Gortat just yet, his value might well go up if Marshall works the P&R well with him - which is fairly likely. We are not the only ones that know Nash has been helping his scoring average. As painful as it is to trade away the one decent center the Suns have had, he's almost certainly too old for a 4-5 year rebuild - though if the training staff said otherwise I'd listen to them - so the wise thing to do is listen to trade offers while behaving as though he's a building block.

Ray Allen is in no hurry to make a decision, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Allen is weighing all of his options, which include the Boston Celtics, Miami HEAT, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets.

No mention of Phoenix :)
