The Tyler Johnson trade was more exciting.

Watching paint dry is more exciting than the Suns tonight. One interesting thing about the game is Utah showing us what Igor's system looks like when executed well. You know, with a point guard and with smart players.

Is there any site that tells us how many games the suns have been down 20 or more? Not just lost 20 or more, but greatest deficit in each? I’m guessing the number of games in which we’ve gone down 18+ is staggering.

I'm thinking Tyler Johnson soon takes over the point guard role if the Suns do not make a trade.

Ah finally far enough behind for Ayton to start gathering meaningless stats. Finally.

I think tonight's game was the best game JJ has played all season..

27 Points (56% FG, 80% FT)
7 Assists
5 Steals
4 rebounds

Watching JJ slowly improve through out this year has been exciting, I think he's finally starting to figure out WHO he is and thats a win!

I think Phoenix needs a front office and staff overhaul, get rid of Every Single One, I have yet to see one indication that the sun's have any ability to develope young talent what's so ever. JJ would probably be a star on another team , okobo might be more than the worst PG to see a court this year , and ayton would probably be in a close race for ROY but instead we are getting this, I've been silent for awhile on Igor but he needs to go! Offense has Zero direction and it's hurting all of the young guys!

We better keep Josh Jackson.

If he went the Ben Simmons route of never shooting 3’s he could be dangerous but he’s still a low IQ player. However I’d rather have guy you need to slow down then ramp up. You can’t question is heart and confidence.

Just think about it - Robert Sarver is the owner of a $1.5 billion company and he hires only entry-level coaches and general managers.

I know you’re trying to make a joke but that’s not exactly accurate regarding Igor and his coaching staff, who have experience - some of them lots of experience - coaching. James jones is definitely in that category.

Booker's injury problems are concerning, but I think a big factor in them is the team not letting him get healthy. They seem to let him play as soon as he shows he can move again.

Playing with an injured back often leads to straining leg muscles and vice versa, because you're trying to avoid pain and not using sound mechanics. IMO it's idiotic that he's "day to day" after re-injuring something. He should be shut down until the All-Star Break. Let him actually get healthy for the first time in a year.

He was healthy for almost 2 and a half seasons straight before his first injury. I don't think he's fragile, I think he is pushing himself too hard to get on the court and the Suns are doing a crappy job of being the adults in the room and saying "No, we need you 100%".

I like Jackson's motor. I'm hoping he will learn to play with more control given time. He seems to have improved this season. If he keeps improving he will be a force. I think he has played all five positions on the court.

Lamest 20-9 game by Ayton ever.
This was actually excusable since it was against Rudy Gobert.

Not as embarrassing as when he got shut down by Dwayne Dedmond and Kenneth freaking Faried in the two games prior.

I wanted to see more of Bender. He and Ayton together weren't too bad, imo. He could have taken some of Oubre's minutes, who for some reason decided soft floaters over Gobert would work.
The Suns played *well for 3 quarters, then the stupidity got to them. Okobo and Crawford had miserable games. I like Evans, but he is a defensive PG who doesn't know what to do on the offensive end. Really tough to win like that with so many mistakes. JJ was pretty solid given his propensity to go off the rails at times. The Jazz only put up 9 more shots than the Suns, but they hit 3's and the Suns didn't. With all of the TOs and ORs, 9 shots was surprising to me.
I am quite concerned that Ayton runs out of gas/energy/desire so quickly. IF that is a defining part of his career that will be a shame and a regret. I am sure many will blame that on anything but him, but I don't think so.

*well for the Suns

I think, given his propensity to go off the rails at times, JJ was far more than "pretty solid" last night. He was very good last night for anyone but for JJ he was freaking fantastic.

I agree about Ayton. I don't agree with those that blame the coach or his desire when he disappears like that, I think it's all on him. I don't think Koko's scheme is all that great for him but he looks pretty good in it when he's pushing himself. I'm hoping that a better offseason conditioning program will solve this problem but, it seems like every time he plays, a list of scary medical conditions runs through my mind.

I didn’t call it embarrassing, I called it lamest. In the box score it looks good but in reality 8 of those points were scored after the suns were down 18+ and made no attempt at a comeback. The very definition of empty stats. I know not all of his games are like that, but I wonder how much of his gaudy 16-10 stats represent those hollow stats.
