End of 3rd quarter:
Jazz 81 - Suns 66
Jazz 81 - Suns 66
The first player with one of those that I rememer was Christian Laettner when he was in Atlanta.
ESPN did a good 30 for 30 called "I hate Christian Laettner" but his hair wasn't one of the topics. I didn't realize that many people hated him.
Wasn't Laettner the only college member of the "Dream Team" in the Olympics?
It's one of the few things I remember him for.
Yeah, many people thought Shaq should have been placed on that team but Laettner got the nod instead since he played for Duke and they just won a national championship. He was the best player on the best college team that was also entering the NBA that summer so that's why he was chosen over Shaq. That team also had Ewing and Robinson so Shaq wasn't that necessary. That doc talks about that. If you get the chance it's worth watching. You don't need to be familiar with him to enjoy it, just being basketball fan is enough.
Sport Clips...all day.I feel like Great Clips or Supercuts should sponsor this board. There's a lot of vibrant discussion about hair on almost every thread!

Jackson and Harrison. But that's not a team. Bender somewhat, but he isn't too effective. So are the Suns just not trying anymore?
Except no one is getting haircuts... at least the ones we talk about.
I'm gonna buzz Payton when he's not looking... which will be so easy.

I'll help you get Payton if you help me get Rubio! Might be able to get Dudley and Chriss to help with Rubio also.

You must not be old enough to remember just how *******... and legit GREAT he was in college.

Chriss and Dudley are getting ripped on twitter.
Nope, I started following basketball that summer with the original Dream Team and then that Suns season that followed, which was Barkley's first year in Phoenix. I was 8 then. I didn't pay much attention to college basketball until the late 90's.
Well. Payton seems to be wearing thin already. Not sure I want to keep him at all.
Dudley was a punk....frankly he has a punchable face too.Dudley explained his side. All he knew was Chriss was on the ground still being helped up by another teammate and he shoved Rubio in an attempt to stop the fast break with a foul. He said Rubio flopped and sold it.

Makes sense.
Laettner was the DEFINITION of player you loved to hate. Pretty boy douchebag... who played just dirty enough while being clutch and smart as hell in the court in college.
I vaguely remember him with the Timberwolves but I remember him being on the Hawks back in the day. I don't know if you've seen that 30 for 30 I mentioned, "I hate Christian Laettner" but it mainly talked about his time at Duke and the Dream Team selection. He was just a glorified role player in the NBA but he's got sort of a cult following that loves to hate him because of his Duke days. It was one of the better 30 for 30's that I've seen. Grant Hill was featured a good bit being Laettner's teammate at Duke. He had crowds of people that traveled to Duke games just to boo him, which is quite impressive since that was before the internet made it easier to organize sort of fan clubs to bash a player or team. It also talked about how Laettner helped usher in the anti-Duke era of sorts that has been around since then. He led them to their first national championships back in 91 and 92 before entering the NBA. They've won a few since but leading them to their first helped cement his legacy in college basketball.
