That team looks like they'll be downright nasty when they get a little more experience.

The Kings pounded Nash all night with big men like Nocioni hence some fatigue and turnovers. It was sad to see Nash have to carry the Suns near the end of the game after getting beat up all night. Luckily there were a lot of timeouts in the final minutes so he got some rest.

It is interesting all the Kings 2009 draft draft picks Evans, Casspi and Brockman contributed. Obviously Evans will be a star in the league. It just bothers me Clark and Lopez collect dust which they probably deserve.

I don't know about that but I certainly would trade our immediate future for theirs right now. They have some very good young pieces and played us close even without two of their best players.

When the Kings get Kevin Martin & Francisco Garcia back... watchout cuz they'll be tough. That was a tall lineup they had out there tonight so I'm not surprised they gave us some trouble...

SG: Greene 6-11
SF: Casspi 6-9
PF: Thompson 6-11
C: Hawes 7-1

That's just some crazy height and creates mismatches on both ends of the floor. In the 2nd half it seemed like we didn't use our speed advantage enough and had trouble getting good shots... obviously rebounding was a huge issue in the 2nd half too.

Center is their only weak position and Hawes isn't horrible... he's just doesn't seem very consistent yet. The West just keeps getting tougher because in 2-3 years OKC, Memphis & Sacramento should be challenging for playoff spots (if they can keep their teams together). It'll be interesting to see who falls out of the playoff picture... I'm guessing Utah and possibly us after Nash retires.

Actually, I think Brockman caused us as much trouble as anyone. His physicality along with his wide body took Amare out of the game. IMO, if Westy left him in down the stretch we might have lost that game. I don't think it's going to take 2-3 years for this team. Healthy, I think the Kings easily overtake us next season.

I'm usually optimistic but I find it hard to be so with our current team. As much as I like Nash and Amare I'm really hoping we break this group up mid-season and start preparing for the future. I wouldn't hold a fire sale but if the opportunity came to get future talent for any of our current pieces I'd jump at it.

The King commentators were drooling over Brockman. He's a big body, yes, but he can't even dunk the ball. A guy that big should be dunking it over Channing Frye. He's still a rookie, and not a very good one at that. He might be eventually, but right now he's simply a big body that can rebound against smaller guys, hence his performance last night. He's an NBA player, he should be able to do that whether he's a 12th man or a starter.

And those Kings announcers have got to be some of the worst. That Brockman...who's name sounds like a news anchor or a weatherman..."Here's Jon Brockman with the Accuweather forecast!"...anyway, he made as many stupid mistakes as good plays but the Kings announcers were foaming at the mouth about him like he's an All-Star.

I was at the game last night, what an awesome game to be at. When Nash had the ball with just under a minute left and Suns up two, everyone was doing the "DE-FENSE" Chant, so I decided I'd change it to a "STEVE-NASH" chant. A couple of Kings fans in front of me got a chuckle out of it, but when Nash drained that jumper I got quite a lot of stink eye from several of the Kings fans that were around me.

That was awesome.

If you watch him with the same kind of eye that most Suns fans view Amundson I think you'd better understand the glowing comments. He's never going to be a star but he takes up a lot of space, gives good effort and his physical play can wear a guy down. For a bench guy he's quite a load, IMO.

Well you're comparing fans to announcers now and that's not the same thing. I've never heard Bender or Johnson or Williams slobber over Amundson the way those homer fools were about Brockman during that Kings broadcast.

BTW, Grant Napier is a tool. The guy does afternoon radio as well as the Kings games, and he's the biggest prick you'll ever hear - if anyone disagrees with his viewpoint, he immediately gets defensive and angry, then basically infers the caller is an idiot and hangs up on them.

He's a huge New York homer too - the only reason he's in Sacramento is because he doesn't have what it takes to make a living as a sports personality in the Big Apple - if he did he'd be on the first plane back to NY, guaranteed.
