I'd love to see Jake Voskuhl start swinging at people in this game! :D With that black eye, he looks a lot meaner than usual--especially when he scowls like he did just a few seconds ago.

Did you guys see Gary Payton say "F you" to Jake?

are you serious?

He is shooting 30% again and again has more turnovers than assists. 2 turnovers of them lead to 3s I believe.

I hate Eisley.

His stupid turnovers and stupid plays are killing us.

Fouls fisher on a 3pter in the 4th quarter for a 4pt play. He dribbles the ball way too much instead of getting it to JJ.

Get Eisley off of this team. I can't believe Cotton or Bryan said they liked this guys for years because he was the most hated player on New York Knicks boards as well.

Stats don't tell the whole story. He is a pretty nice veteran presence tonight.

Eisley plays more like a rookie than a veteran. He got burned over and over and over again in the 4th by Fisher and made stupid plays on his own.

Jake Voshkul will never learn how to avoid offensive fouls. It would be awesome if the NBA had a statistic for offensive fouls.

Stop being such a baby.

One of the biggest complaints of anyone (you INCLUDED) is that he doesn't know how to run the offense.

Well, tonight was the best job he's done at running our offense. Stop your whining. It's all you freaking do!

Suns win? Jeez, I should have watched the game instead of standing in front of the f***ing photocopy machine all night for work.

Longest winning streak of the season, woohoo!

It was the Jake & Joe show. I stayed awake long enough to get excited enough to yell at the TV again.

The Suns don’t get the calls from the officials because they don’t complain enough. I notice the Lakers players corner the officials & “discuss” why they should or shouldn’t get things called in their favor. Other teams do the same. The only recent Suns player who has done that for the Suns, is now playing for NY. An example tonight was when Marion made a tough shot & was obviously fouled but didn’t get the call. He needs to have a conference soon after that to point out what happened. Then when it happens again, he needs to do it again....and again. Even so, we "won" this game at the line.

I hated the way Stocton & Malone always complained but it was effective. I'd like it if we could start getting some respect from the officials and if it means complaining or having conferences with the officials - we should go for it.

Wow...

I'm hesitant to jump on the Joe Johnson bandwagon, but he is playing incredible.

These are his numbers since the trade:

20.9 points
5.6 rebounds
5.3 assists
50.7% FG
91.6% FT

Pretty damn impressive.

:)

I don't understand the emotions concerning Eisley.

Some facts which were pretty clear immediately after the Marbury-trade:

1. Eisley is basically untradeable.
2. He is not in Suns long-term plans.
3. He was once a decent backup in one of the greatest systems under one of the greatest NBA coaches.

So expecting from him being more than a servicable backup is highly unrealistic. And there is a good chance that he is NOT a servicable backup.

Nice win.

Devean George 0 for 10 :lmao:

The last few games have been close and we've pulled them out. That is a great sign. Earlier on we'd fold. Not so now. Regardless of injuries Staples against the Lakers is always a tricky place to place. Very glad we stayed composed and won this game.

Very impressed by JJ. His scoring is someone we all know he has in him, its just how consistant he can be... but he's really stepped up in the rebounding catragory latley. And we needed that badly.

I've said this before but it bears repeating... JJ looks good even when he's not. He's a very smooth player and it looks like he has realized that when the 3 point shot & outside jumper isn't going in, take it to the basket for a closer shot. He's probably our best ball handler on the team at this point.... No, make that positive - He IS the best ball handler on the team.

The waggon is rolling - might as well jump on till it stops.:D

Exactly, He is Howard Eisley. I am not sure what people were expecting.

Good thing the Lakers are missing their three best players, because we had no Stoudemire, and Cabarkapa and Marion were disgusting on offense.

Voskuhl had a great game, even if it was against the size depleted Lakers. The amazing thing was that he scored 18 points, yet I do not remember a single pick and roll.

JJ was just awsome. He made some bad plays and did not let it effect him, which is huge. On a night when Shawn was way off, Zarko continues to have problems with his shooting, Amare is out and Barbosa was in foul trouble -- JJ had a lot put on his shoulders and he came through with flying colors.

Eisely played better than his stats, but he still takes too many ill advised long jumpers. He did not stink things up like he has before, but he still struggles with the offense. None the less, he is making progress.

White had another strong game (in all senses of the word). He still can't seem to catch passes, but when he did he was all but unstoppable. It was just wonderful to watch Lakers get bowled over by a huge center for a change.

Overall, the most impressive thing about the game was that they held the Lakers to only 38.3% from the field. Shawn held Devon George to 0-10 from the field.

All in all, it was a great win. Unfortunately, this may be the last beatable team in a while. The Nuggets were tough to beat in Denver even before they got some talent, the Spurs are the Spurs, and the Wolves are looking like an elite team. The Suns will have to play a lot better to have a chance to win any of those.

I have not liked Eisley since he's been here, and I am aware of all these points. My main problem is its very frustrating when you know a guy who is not very good is going to get PT do to lack of depth.

In fairness I thought Eisley did a better job tonight. The 2 things I was most critical of were he was not pushing the ball like everyone else which he did tonight. And he was not getting the ball to the playmakers mainly JJ and Amare early in the offense, tonight he was getting the ball to JJ in the 4th qtr.

I just hope that Vujanic understands that next year Eisley will get no minutes. Vujanic did not want to sign because he did not want to just sit on the bench.

Unless unloaded, Eisley will be sent to the Tom Gugliotta memorial bench seat next season.

I suspect that the Suns will offer Charlotte one of their draft picks to take Eisley.

That would clear a lot of cap room. Charlotte can dump Eisley for free and they would get a mid-range pick (New Yorks) to help build their team with.
