Quoting myself, I know. It's obvious that Artest is the superior player, but Jones fits the system better, and is not a complete nutcase. I would be sad to see JJ go. Definitely one of my favorite players on the team. He's finally getting a chance to show his skills.

I don't think he can go back--the new CBA doesn't allow that to happen. Of course, I may be thinking of the Gary Payton-Boston thing, where they traded him, the team he was on waived him and he resigned with Boston.

I thought the Pacers said pretty emphatically that they want a big for Artest among other things which would rule out the Suns.

I'd also bet anything that a team willing to take Croshere's contract would be the front runner.

If your premise is true, the addition of Croshere begs the question if he could help the Suns upfront and how bad is his contract?

If Croshere's contract is not too outrageous, he might help the Suns fill the need for another big man and getting Artest in the deal might not be bad if the Pacers do not want us to package the farm in a trade.

Certainly Jim Jackson is an expiring contract and the Suns have first round draft picks to offer. The kicker is the Pacers may also want a player like Barbosa included.

If i remember right, Croshere's contract is not worth taking on, especially for him.

Croshere is about $9 mil. a year for this year and next. If the SUns took Artest and Croshere they'd have to send back $15 million in salaries.

The difference between Wallace and Artest is that Wallace's teammates all loved him. He was a "headcase" only for how he reacted on the court and got technicals. There's a difference between an emotional hothead and a potential triple homicide candidate.

Just a thought (I can already hear the boos), maybe KT might have to be packaged to make it work and could Croshere fill KT's role.

This is getting more complicated by the minute. I'm leaning towards the Suns just using the TE and a pick if necesssary to get a young serviceable big man.

I still would like taking a look at Skita on the cheap.

Also anyone think Atlanta would go back to the well and somehow the Suns could get Harrington (or even Pachulia)? The Hawks might want some of their picks back. However, I just do not see the Hawks management wanting to revisit the turmoil of the JJ signing. This idea is just pie in the sky I'm sure.

I want no part of Artest If Thomas and Jones have to be moved. Both are too important to what we can do.

If Amare comes back as good as he was last year we are a legit contender to win It all. No need to mess up a good thing.

I agree wholeheartedly about keeping James Jones. I would rather reluctantly part with Barbosa in a trade.

It appears the Suns moving for another 4/5 makes alot more sense than going for Artest.

Now the Bears are trading for Artest? How does that work under the CBA? Can an NFL team trade with an NBA team? What position would Thomas Jones play?

:)

You don't actually believe that, do you?
