Is this a positive or neg for suns? Lol unsure
Never going to wish we had less bodies, but Craig is a shell of himself right now. This dude has fallen off the proverbial cliff since last year.

Vegas has this game at Even, which seems a little odd. Are the Mavs significantly better at home or something?
Interesting….Suns were 6-point favorites at home so they’re telling us home court for the Mavs is worth 6 points. Vegas also wants equal money on both sides ideally so they want action on both teams.

I’d feel better personally betting the Suns game 4. If we’re going to lose a game it’s probably going to be tonight because I don’t see the Mavs winning game 4 down 0-3.

Mavericks fined for being too close to the court in game 2.

I am surprised he has been so bad. I thought he was really going to contribute once he got back here, but he looks like he has been going half speed or something. It almost seems like he isn't too happy to be back here again.

He is clearly just in a complete slump right now. He had some good games and good stretches since the trade, but has been nearly unplayable in the playoffs.

The trade for Torrey Craig is looking bad right now. I remember he was very happy to mix with Suns players the last time he visited with the Pacers.

I hope the Suns don't have to use future draft picks to move contracts over the summer. For example, Craig is owed $5,121,951 next season.

Saric and Crowder are expiring contracts next season for about $10 million each. Shamet is owed about the same but is not an expiring contract.

Saric and Crowder are up after next year or after this season?

I think Craig will be useful against any of the teams drenched in long, shot happy wingers, like Golden State, Boston or Miami.

Also Craig can be used as a small ball center if the Suns are inclined to go that direction. He is sort of like Covington that way.

i was a strong advocate for getting Craig back
because, last year, he was a spark-plug in the regular season
but my impression of his performance in last year's playoffs was similar.
he didn't perform the same and dropped out of rotation

now, i suspect he tightens up under playoff pressure

Holiday deserved to be in the rotation against the Pelicans and i hope Monty is open to using him if Payne gets cold again.

That’s 25 million worth of trade bait for a team looking for cap space and start over

I wouldn't necessarily look at it that way. The Suns would have to take a player(s) back.

The Suns included a second round pick in the trade for Craig and Stix was an expiring contract.

If you figure the Mavs to win one of these two games, even odds make sense for this game. If the Suns win this game, it's a sweep IMO.

Craig seems like the kind of guy that will come up big at some point. Paul or Book big? Probably not but I can see him impacting a game or two in the next couple of weeks .

My exact thought. Not needed here but could be needed later

The thing is if you look at Craig's stats over the last 5 games, it's not encouraging. Also he often tries to play defense from behind.

Only 6 points over this span.
