Suns were excellent using their hands on defense last night when Dallas was getting touted for their defense.

The comment about cackling I thought for sure was going to be the one where Mikal somehow ended up on the ground and then got up and collected a rebound right after.

Devin Booker is the living embodiment of a supermax contract. Man I hope he can meet destiny on the mountaintop because he freaking deserves it.
Unlike a center from arizona who half or less puts somewhat max num

Still unsure on da max lol but book def i just think ayton looks replacable to save money

I don't think he's replaceable but I do agree with James Jones using his leverage to keep that salary below Books.

We match the offer he gets. And we smile about the savings as Ayton grows and hopefully gets more dominant. Those dollars should hopefully help us resign Cam also.

Last night was a thing of beauty even though we were struggling through a horrible shooting night. I know the Mavericks were on the back end of a B2B and that Doncic especially was showing heavy legs and slowed reactions but this team did exactly what they needed to take advantage of a tired team. We're usually on the other end of a scheduling issue, it's nice to see it work for us instead.

The problem trading for Eric Gordon is his salary is guaranteed for $19,568,360 next season. That could pose a luxury tax problem.

We’re going to have to spend to be legit contenders. This is where Sarver has to put up or shut up

Agreed. But I'd change that sentence to "Sarver has to put up AND continue to shut up". His mouth makes bad things happen.

Understood. I’m looking at it purely from a player abd basketball perspective. I’ll let jones and sarver figure out how to make it work. And see if sarver puts his money where his mouth is.

If we could really swing that and stay healthy we would be close to unstoppable imo.
Really? Why? Gordon isn't that much of an upgrade over shamet.

Personally if it is multiple #1's I would be pissed.

Actually looking at Gordons stats this year, he is shooting great from 3, but his defense is plain bad - as in he is a liability bad.

Hold on dude is under contract for 2 more years at 19 and 20 million. How the hell is that going to work if we want to resign Cam and Ayton.

No, this is a bad idea.

That is an insane comment. Shamet is a non-factor on a great team that gives him wide open looks.

Gordon is a better shooter and creator by a mile.

Id trade Shamet, Nader, and those guys on the bench that I don't know for Gordon with no problem.
I honestly cant think of a backup pg/sg with Shamets numbers that makes his money. I'm sure there are plenty I just cant think of any.
I was willing to give him a shot because Monte and JJ obviously wanted him. But his "shot" is rapidly coming to an end and he's starting to wear his welcome for me, it may be time to move on.

I hope I'm wrong and his shots start falling but as of now I'm not impressed.

What? Where in the world do you come up with that comparison?
I am talking about historically comparing the two players.

I get Gordon has been outplaying him so far this season, but my point is if Shamet just gets back to his normal play level, it would not be much of an upgrade, and certainly not worth an additional 20 million a year, especially when shamets 10 million a year never even gets in the game.

Well from a roster balance perspective, if we were going to do that trade, I would rather we trade shamet instead of Dario. But I think there maybe some kind of restriction on trading Shamet this season I remember hearing about.

I'm not sure but I think he has to approve it.
