Thanks for posting the video Chap.
The defense was very relaxed but I was glad to see they were strongly emphasizing the running game. If they'd have showed some missed shots we'd have gotten a look at how they rebound.

I was holding my breath about Childress a bit, but offensively, at least, he looked good - better than I expected on the fast break. He also went down on the baseline a good bit - if he has a 2 defending him he'll be hard to stop down there.

The Suns length and athleticism are going to drive opposing teams crazy when they have to switch defensively. At least until the playoffs, the Suns interchangeable parts at the 2-4 positions will be tough to defend. I think the Suns will again redefine traditional roles. Also I think the Suns may be improved defensively as well. I'm liking the addition of Childress.

I've always liked Childress. I think he'll fit in very well here but I still have no idea how the lineup will eventually shake out. I'm hoping by mid-season we'll have made a trade or two to reduce our bottleneck and improve our rebounding and defense.

Wait, weren't you one of those saying Amare should go? :)

yup... i thought we were between a rock and a hard place on that one. still doesn't mean I wouldn't have loved in a perfect universe to have him paired up with Hedo and Robin on our front line. more a wish than a would-coulda-shoulda.

How anyone would be more interested in the Heat rather than the Suns is mind-boggling. We won't win the title this year, but we should be a lot of fun to watch.

I just don't think we're going to be all that fun to watch losing games 130-119 more often than we win them. On the other hand, watching something quite possibly historical (either way... win or lose simply because of the hype) will be fun for me as a lover of the game in general. The Heat are as close to an NBA Dream Team as we're gonna get in this league and I'm fascinated by a) how they'll mesh and b) how exciting that team is going to be.

Doesn't mean I like them more than the Suns. I just think they'll be much more entertaining/interesting this year. If that boggles your mind, so be it.

Good thing you're in LA and you can easily choose to not watch.

not sure if you're trying to make it out like i won't root for them anymore (that's what it's kind of coming off as and I apologize saying so if that's not your intent), but I'll still watch 'em when they're on. They're my team. They just don't excite me all that much this year and you gotta admit, from a basketball/media standpoint, the entire story surrounding the Heat should be pretty fascinating.

I come into this season with about the same expectations of the Suns that I had year, which isn't very high. I thought they would be about 8th or 9th in the West going into last year and I was pleasantly surprised. I feel the same this year and hopefully they can exceed those expectations again. IMO it's all going to come down to whether or not they can stay healthy. They should be entertaining nonetheless.

I am also very intrigued by the Heat this year almost in the same way I was fascinated about the Jordan Bulls back in the 90s. I won't root for them, but I'll be watching!

The whole Heat story may be fascinating, but for some reason I have no desire to watch it. Maybe it's my hatred of Lebron James, I don't know. I do like Wade and I don't have much of a problem with Bosh, but James has fallen so far in my estimation, it's hard to even talk about them, let alone watch them.

LeBron is a tank, lower his head and go, chuck up the ugly paddle foot heave. Not my idea of fun. I'll be cheering for the Suns as always. Should probably do a trade or two to get in a position to compete (I think last year was the last one in a long time) and please keep Dragic and Lopez on the team along with Nash and Hill.

Thanks for the video btw! Oh if only Earl Clark could get his head around the game he'd be fantastic for us. Who's that little short guy wearing Chris Mullins number 17?

Haywoode Workman is that you? And by heavens Childress' shot is almost uglier than Marion's. Speaking of #31 Gani looks great.
