Joe Johnson and Stephen Jackson are on about the same level. Both are very good distributors.. Thats why they average 6apg.




JRich handling better than SJ?? You CLEARLY have not seen a Golden State game the past 5 years. Richardson is a great finisher, shooter, and can create his own shot.. But he is NOT by any means a better distributor than Jackson.

Jackson seems to kick our asses every time he plays against us too.

Was not speaking to assists per game. Only that Joe Johnson is on another level running an offense. SJ is not a PG by any stretch.

SJax turns the ball over 3.9 times a game to get those 6 asst, JJ turns it over 2.5 times to get his 6. I think there is a big gap in ball handling, and passing skills between the two.

Yes there is, Jackson is clearly not a PG and not the greatest ball handler, still he would be a good player for us anyway. If we play like we did last night, going through Shaq and Amare all the time, we don't need a PG to run the offense, only to bring the ball up and swing it around and eventually into Shaq/Amare.

Jackson has one ring from the Spurs, but he was a role player cog in their system that year, no more. Artest? Sprewell?

SJ is a good player with a good contract and a perpetual bad attitude, playing extra well on a bad team this year.

The Suns have enough latent chemistry issues to deal with right now - no reason to add fuel to the fire, esp when it will not significantly increase the odds of a title.

Now, if you were talking about something like getting a Paul Pierce when he was having his 'down years' and being criticized a bit for his attitude, I'm on board. Or a Barkley or even Iverson, fine. That's a play for a superstar in a down market.

With egos like Shaq and Amare on this team, we do not need mid-level stars or role players making a ruckus. It's part of why Bell got shipped. Richardson and Hill are perfect ego-wise for this team right now. They will light it up when given the chance, but play team ball and don't bitch about their shot counts the rest of the time.

IMO, the problem is not talent for the Suns - it's chemistry and coaching. We'll see how the next month goes...

Barbosa will always be underrated simply because he has yet to show impact in the postseason.

Until a few weeks ago, I was all for trading Barbosa, but unless he can be used as a part of a deal that brings us a good STARTING point guard or a top 5 pick in the draft, there is no way I would trade him now.

Right now, that would be a #4 pick. I love Leandro, but I can't see the Kings giving up that kind of pick.
