I think the rule changed this season where you can pass into the back court on an inbounds
OK. The average height of a SF in the NBA is between 6'5"/1.96 m to 6'11"/2.11. I would say that would mean Marion isn't undersized. He is just about in the middle I would say.
Just out of curiosity where did you find that? It seems hard to set a lot of players into a single position, especially when they are a swing man
Okay, thanks everyone. Good thing the officials kept up with that rule change. Given the Suns' history, I could easily see them calling a violation, then shrugging after the game and saying, "Oops, I guess we goofed."

barkley bashing the suns again. shocking.
Well, I usually set my DVR to record a bit after the game but not tonight. Nope, just figured I'd be okay and could watch the Thursday night line up and game when I got home.
Bad decision. Thankfully I saw Nash's shot and the start of OT.
Anyone have a clue as to how I can see the rest of the game? or if it's going to be re-aired?
Thanks!
People keep saying the suns should trade JR and picks for something. I think at this point Burke has more trade value than JR.
I seem to remember this rule beginning at the same time the 8-second back court violation was implemented. Of course, I could be wrong and I'm too lazy to google it.
I don't know what to think but he's not a 1 year wonder. He's needs to quit playing like a pu$$y and start playing with some intensity. He looks like the kid who gets picked last in the pick-up games out there. He looks scared to do anything. He needs to quit worrying about Amare and just play hard. It's frustrating watching him, I thought he wasn't the typical "soft" european but he's starting to prove me wrong
Diaw had a nice game last night although he brought it on late. He had 16/14 and handled the ball well, only one TO -- you can't complain too much when he out-assists our MVP. He and Amare seem to be developing some chemistry lately and that's all good. Boris is so stoic and unemotional out on the court that he looks like he's not really trying but I don't think that's the case. He started out slow this year but it's a lot more important how he finishes the season.
Watching the game last night was about as good as it gets, even lacking much defense on either side. Regulation and two OTs and despite all the pressure it stayed a CLEAN game and no serious injuries. The battle of the PGs was nothing short of beautiful, they're both great. I don't think anyone expected that kind of battle in Jersey but it was an important game for the Suns to win. Let's hope they got some sleep last night after they got to Boston and this next one only goes four Q's. Tonight would be an excellent opportunity for that much-maligned bench to surprise us.
Nash laughing at Mikki Moore when they got into a tussel was hilarious. It is funny watching Nash look straight up at Moore and still not backing down. If I were Moore, Nash laughing in my face would have pissed me off more than he if hit me.
This was on a timeout and the ball can be passed in the backcourt on an inbounds play, if the ball is taken side out at half court.
I was at the game at Continental Airlines Arena. It was the first Sun's game I've ever been to. There were some things that I thought were interesting though many of you are probably well aware of these things:
-Shawn Marion was out practicing 3 pointers half an hour before the game while everyone else was inside.
-When the players are warming up, sometimes two players will play one on one. One player will pratice shooting while the other gives him pressure. They switch as soon as the shooter misses. Some interesting pairs were Barbosa/Diaw, Burke/Jones, and Rose/Banks.
-During warmups Steve Nash makes most of his shots (see Steve Nash MVP Dvd's)
-Everytime Raja caught the ball in the corner and was open, the crowd would say "oh no!"
-I haven't been noticing it as much when I watch games on TV but the players still continue to high five each a lot during the course of the game.

wow - what an unbelievable game that must have been to be at. The only game on the road that I've been to that's been great was 2004-5 when we played the Lakers and we were just starting to find out how good we were. Ouchie and I had seventh row seats at Staples and the Suns were up by 10 most of the game until late in the third when the Lakers went nuts - I think they were up 13 with like 4 minutes left and then we just started bombing threes and Q hit the game winner with like 2 seconds left. That was sick - especially because we were surrounded by all those douchebags, otherwise known as Lakers fans.
