Woj is Gambo, Gambo is Woj?
Woj is all over the radio in many markets doing local interviews. He is not the only one. I am sure there is so quid pro quo information sharing between National and Local guys all over the country.

Unless local radio has guests, they are usually running with the flavor of the day.
Podcasts don't even do that most of the time. It's just the same stuff over and over with really nothing substantial other than repeated rumor or trying to drum up subscribers. There is a reason most podcasters are just podcasters. I like listening to Podcasts for the conversation and to hear wat others thinks....not to get insider information.

You should listen to radio more often. Woj admitted one time during an interview on KGME he gets lots of info from local guys in many markets. He said sometimes they can't break news that he can because he doesn't have to worry about comprising sources. He gets the info from them, tries to verify and if it sounds legit, he runs with it. Woj in turn does interviews for those stations.

When Woj breaks something you can almost take it to the bank. The same with Shams Charania. They seldon make a mistake and they are usually the first to break major stories. Twitter is so much quicker than other media forms.

Who is debating that? They get their information from local guys. Woj admitted it. Makes perfect sense. It's all about relationships with other media and people in these organizations.

If true, the local guys would break the story first. They are not in business to make the national media look good.

So Woj was lying. Got it. I already explained what he said and why it's not always the case. In fact, he did mention that he also has been given "sources" by local media guys as well. I am sure he may even on occasion has been able to pry more out of them with his influence compared to a local guy. Unlike a local guy, he doesn't have to worry about ad spots being sold to his local stations as a conflict of interest either.

Woj has inside contacts the local media doesn't have. He gets it from his sources.

It didn't used to be that way but it has been now for years.

The likelihood of Durant becoming available is picking up steam. I know Brooklyn will want Mikal, but I would do everything possible to keep him out much like the Suns were able to keep KJ and Majerle out of the Barkley trade. CP3, Booker, Bridges, Durant, McGee/Biyombo. We certainly can't give up both Bridges and Cam J. All of this assumes Ayton would agree to go to Brooklyn.

Some of his sources and information come from relationships established by local guys. His words. He isn't alone. We are not just talking about Woj. Tim Leglar said something similar when running with a Suns story. These guys establish sources at every level. The difference is unless they feel it's accurate, they won't run with it. Unlike podcast guys.

I think he does a lot of mutual back scratching for agents and possibly some strategic front office leaks as well.

Yep. Assuming Durant actually talks to the FO office. LOL. I know some people would Glady give up Bridges, Cam J and Ayton for KD. It's too much for me but then again, if I could move forward and time and see we win a title? OK. HA! Including Bridges as well though seems like too much.

You don't think the local media wants to break big stories first and they just give it up to the national media?

They want to be big fish too.

Woj and some of the other national media has better sources.

This would be legacy defining for KD after he bandwagoned onto a title team in GS. If successful he would be getting Phoenix its first championship and helping CP3 overcome his playoff demons to capstone his long career.

That's not what I said. You obviously are not reading. Again, I said they have sources at every level. There is plenty of prid quo pro with local guys. It's a fact.

Obviously we have a communication gap because you get stuck on certain things like radio and podcasts.

As a source, Twitter is my best friend but I use it all except playing sports radio all day.

How am I stuck? I have mentioned Podcasts, TV, Radio, digital print and social media unlike you who seems to be obsessed with Twitter and podcasts only. According to you are more legitimate than profession media guys in other mediums. You are limiting yourself more than I. I don't care where it comes from. I care about track history and who is reporting it.

He's not even as efficient as Sex Panther cologne. Sad.
Come to think about it, I might have wasted a ton of money in my youth on pheromone cologne and wasn't wearing it the night I met my wife.

If you cared about track history you would know that the national media usually reports major sports stories before the local media.

I'm happy you enjoy local sports radio. I do as well but I usually only listen to special guests live or on podcast.

Twitter is my preferred source.

Huh? Now you are just rambling. I never placed a number on either. Let me repeat because you seem to be skipping parts you don't like. I don't care what the source is as long as they have a good track record. I don't care what medium it comes from. I would rather not put all my eggs in the Twitter, Podcast basket and assume all other mediums are not a good source or be selective based on if it's "guest day".

I will read and listen to almost anything. Doesn't mean I put much stock in everything or prefer one over the other.

By the way, another reason I respect Kobe Bryant is because he never seemed as obsessed with money as Michael Jordan or lebron james. He no doubt demanded and received the money he expected, just like every superstar does; but how many stories did I read about how much money Bryant made, or about him wanting to be a billionaire? Not many, if any.
Your right. He was just a total distraction for his team for an entire season threatening he was going to leave. He also ran shaq outta town. Great guy.

Kobe’s peak was before social media was really a thing. Stories didn’t take off like wildfire like they do today.

Let's terminate this conversation. It's getting nowhere. Anyway, you are probably missing sports radio.

Scanning Twitter and have Sport radio on now. Look at the bright side, at least you can listen to your legit podcasts later.
