As I understand it, they only own one outright, 2 of those 3 picks have swap options.
That's technically correct but HOU has the right to swap their 2025 1st rounder to our 2025 one which they obviously will which means that they actually control it and basically it is the same regarding the 2027 1st rounders where they can choose 2 1st rounders from DAL, PHO and HOU's 2027 1st rounders and right now odds do not favour the Suns and I was polite.

In general, I highly doubt that Ishbia will/wants to throw the towel, probably he is working the opposite and will make another trade which will mortgage our future even more.

Nah… the next season was a blast also… until we went up 2-0 against the Mavs.

The second CP3 turned 37, this team nose-dived and became pretty hopeless as a legit title contender. We just made a terrible trade to make sure the next five years would be totally hopeless.
Something about that broke the team though. We had confidence, but no killer instinct. We had talent, but not teamwork. So we tried again because we were so close. I agree with you that we tried make several desperate moves to stay relevant that were big swings. Those didn’t pay off how management thought.

Now most of us are bored of the suns because it seems clear we’re going to be in the lower 1/3 of the west for a while.

Sad thing is they got beat after halftime break. Good thing is they looked displeased or even angry trailing by 20 in the 4th.

The picks we owe are solid gold. Outside of young stars and a few MVP caliber players, those are probably the most valuable assets in the league right now. The only reason the Nets traded them to Houston is because Houston owned the Nets picks and the Nets want to tank. The reason Houston agreed is because we are so obviously going to be a dumpster fire going forward.

Even a trade with Houston would return only ONE of our picks back directly, every other pick is either with another team or pick swapped in several different ways with us getting the worst option available. The Nets, Wizards, Grizzlies and Rockets all have a stake in our future misery.
This is hyperbole considering we seem to be middling team and ishbia seems intent on extending kd. If we do a fire sale that becomes true. But right now these picks are likely end of lottery picks.

Even if they were not, unless it’s the number one pick odds are stacked against you any of them will be franchise changing. Heck we even found out with Ayton that isn’t a guarantee either.

If the season ended today our pick is 9th. Are we getting better or worse as time goes on?

Just for sake of argument, we are over the second apron, I thought our picks convey at the end off the first round?

Not for another few years and I cannot imagine it will apply to any picks traded away before the rule implementation.

Do you want to bet we finish with that pick being higher or lower?

I would imagine we should finish better, however, we've been getting worse each season, I don't expect that trend to change these next 5 years.

But great win tonight!
