What? That's ridiculous. He jumped for a CRUCIAL rebound and got pushed in the side, bending him sideways and he was shoved out of the position for the ball. THAT is a foul, 1Q, 4TH, OT, anywhere. Playground. In fact, going for the rebound that would seal the game is just as important for the Riot team as it is crucial for the Suns to try and get a chance to win.

It was an awful, awful foul to make at a crucial time in the game. To not call it ruins the integrity of the game. Complete and total overreaction by the Suns, due to them getting completely screwed on 4 calls earlier and a couple more in the 4th. But not that one.

Why is a Laker's fan in here riling up Suns fans who are ticked off? :)

First off, you never see CRAP calls like that made normally, on shot with 14 seconds left on the clock AWAY from the action. It's a joke.

No one makes it...we'd gotten raped on two other calls and then they do and make that one.

Yes, it's a foul, but there are fouls like that ALL THE TIME in final seconds and refs don't call it. For everyone and every team.

Why call it now?

That's what irritating.

No more excuses. The Suns need to turn it on to be champs and not let anyone get in ther way...not Stern...not the refs..not the fans...not anything.

The Suns played a good game...Detroit just pulled it out.

Yes, because if it were Kobe Bryant doing it to Amare in the same position, and it was NOT called, you all would lose your minds.

Funny that the integrity of the game is only in question when it is your team caught doing something completely stupid like Raja was.

Dude, seriously..you know coming in here after an emotional loss and insulting the team is just going to piss people off.

Why are you here?

i won't bother to respond, when donald said all that i can about this subject. It was a foul, and fouls get called. I wouldn't have been surprised to see the foul not be called either. When you do the crime, you do the time. It's that simple.

Its never that simple...NEVER. Fouls dont always get called. The Suns need to overcome it.

Exactly.

That should have been a no-call whether the Suns were up by 10, down by 10, up by 1 or down by 1. That is a lame, lame call. Whether it cost us the game is irrelevant. They let them play all game (Shaq was hammered several times with no call), yet they call that foul with 14 seconds left in overtime? How does that make sense to any rational basketball fan?

I totally agree with this...other than Amare putting up a ridiculous shot against Rasheed, the Suns rocked and played a good game on the road.

I'm hopeful.

It really makes it seem almost obvious that the refs set out to decide the games finish at the end. No calls for the suns, yet on the opposite side of the spectrum supreme ticky tacks for detroit when the suns still had a very very small chance to come back, effectively sealing the win for the pistons.

That I'll agree with. However, if games were called correctly and with no bias, then no team would have to overcome the officiating to win a game.

i agree. if you commit a foul, you run the risk of it being called. it doesn't matter if it's the end of the game, the middle of the game, or right at the opening tip. The refs called a foul on what was clearly a foul, you can't fault them for that.

I'm in a quandry...you guys are playing the two teams I dislike the most in the league, yet you are right on our heels in the division. I can't cheer for the Celtics though, no matter what.

I actually agreed that the Suns got seriously jobbed on several calls down the stretch. It was a fun game to watch that was ruined by the refs, IMO, but not with the Raja call.

I take some satisfaction in that the Pistons will likely collapse in the Eastern conference finals again.

they're probably praying for boston to knock off cleveland in the 2nd round so that they can avoid a repeat of last year.

Exactly. It was a close game and in such games you always half-expect those little things that change the complexion of the game. After all that's happened last season, we of all people should have known that by now and learned to roll with it.

I'm just tired of all the complaining of D'Antoni, the team, the fans....etc etc. Just stay focused for crying out loud. I mean we squandered that nice lead we had late in the fourth quarter...thats on us. Then because the Suns let Detroit back in it we subject ourselves to iffy calls by the refs. Champions know how to finish these kinds of games out.

I dont want to be hard on the Suns because they've been playing well but they need to dominate games at the end to be champs. They have a bad reputation of letting teams back in it.....

yeah, i agree. we lost a couple calls that may have cost us around 5 points. they played without their leading scorer who puts up 18 points every night on 45% from 3 and 49% from the field. He also would have taken bell off of chauncey, who scored 32 points as it was. They were at a bigger disadvantage either way you look at it.

What's the deal with the rebounding lately? In this game and the game against the Rockets, 2nd chance pts seemed to help out our opponents a lot.

Sigh...if only Hill had hit his free throws in regulation.

Having to go through an overtime with a plane to catch and Boston to play tomorrow is rough. Entertaining game. We lost.

Sets up Shaq and Nash and a few other older players for tired leg syndrome. If we get blown out tomorrow, it won't be that surprising nor meaningful.

I just want to end this by saying we can't control the refs. The Suns can only control themselves. To go down the ref road is futile. YES bad calls were clearly made by the refs at the end. But the Suns got sloppy too..that must be addressed be Coach D'.

it will be meaningful actually. If we lose tomorrow, the rockets will take over our spot in the standings as they won tonight.
