Without knowing that Love would be here for more than a year, I voted for Bosh.

We need a Power Forward who is significant enough to share the pressure up front with Plumlee/Len.

None of them are strong enough or (in the case of Plumlee and Len) proven enough to be a strong post presence by themselves.

Rather than one superstar at Center or Power Forward, how about two solid players at starting C and PF, a philosophy the Suns have never really embraced.

What are the chances that we can send Bledsoe, Plumlee or Len and Ennis and our unprotected 1st next year and the TWolves pick to CLE for Wiggins?

They need a starting caliber guard who plays D in Bledsoe and a backup to replace Jack in Ennis.

Hell I'll even take any bad contract that the Cavs wanna dump.

I'm guessing that if the Cavs get LBJ they offer Wiggins for Love.

Yea but LeBron might prefer Bledsoe, a legit young C and some depth opposed to just one big man.

Especially since Bledsoe's is LeBron's boy.

I'd go for Trevor Ariza as long as Suns keep Tucker. Tucker could backup Ariza and also play SG/PF.

Plumlee, Len
Markieff, Marcus, Warren, Tucker
Ariza, Tucker, Green, Warren
Dragic, Green, Tucker, Goodwin
Bledsoe, Dragic, Ennis, Goodwin

Alec Brown, Shavlik Randolph, or FA big man could take other Roster spot.

I'm content to not blow our wad and just build on last year's team. They probably need a short term fix at PF/C but outside of that they should hold off.

If Bosh gets a max deal I expect by December it will widely be considered the worst contract in the NBA.

Whatever Minnesota wants for Love at the moment we dont have it. But if they're in the toilet around New Years, facing the cold reality of losing him for nothing, then keeping our salary flexibility would make us one of the prime suitors to bring him in.

I'd take a one year max salary for Wade... but obviously he wouldnt.

Boozer?!?! Are you guys freaking kidding me?? CARLOS BOOZER?!?! Thinking bringing him in would import some of that tough Bull mentality is exactly along the lines of the Suns bringing in Luc Longley because of his championship experience. There is a reason Boozer rides the pine in the clutch for Chicago every night and its not because he is a tuffy. He is a good rebounder but thats about it. Mediocre offensively and he'd fit right in with our front court on defense. The guy is and always has been a very poor defender, playing next to Noah hides his warts a bit but playing alongside our bigs he would be fully exposed.

I was willing to take Boozer if we were paid to do so but I have no interest in him as a player.

On that list, only Love, and of course only if he would re-sign. But he's waiting to see if someone pairs him with a superstar, which we can't do.

I think Bosh and Anthony have interests in being paired with another superstar that we can't accommodate, and I don't think either of them chooses Phoenix over Houston and New York.

No point in even considering Wade at his current financial demands. It would be one thing if this were a "Suns medical staff extending a career" situation, but he's not being paid like that.

I guess more than anything I don't want to see the Suns give up young talent needlessly. Last year was a big surprise, and it would be entertaining just to see how this roster develops.

Um. No. They would not and we should not.

The problem is that the salary floor is 90% of the cap. So we HAVE to spend money somewhere. We could give Gasol a max one year deal, I suppose. Better than than take away roster spots from rookies with marginal vets signed for more than their real value.

That is wrong. The salary floor only means that if you don't reach it you have to distribubte the difference to your players.

Keeping our caproom for next year makes little to no sense as most of it will be gone due to re-signing Bledsoe to a larger number, Dragic's caphold next year and extensions or capholds of the Morri and Green.

I all for keeping cap room available. I just assumed that they would do it by signing one year deals.

This poll needs more options. It's also fairly unrealistic.

I'd like to see them target Monroe, but the money is going to be nuts. So at this point the Suns should do what they did last year and bring in a few under the radar guys. Save the cap-space and try to be a player in trades.

Also, if he becomes available, I'd consider looking at Boozer for a couple of years. He's on the downside but he'd bring some toughness to the team. Although it'd have to be a really cheap deal.

But isn't Monroe worth at least as much as Gordon Hayward? One downside of the league being more cost-conscious is that more teams have money to burn. If the Suns want any free agent, they're going to have to overpay, even worse than would have been the case a few years ago. Since the super-blue-chippers most likely aren't coming to Phoenix, and the Suns can't earn a high draft pick, overpaying for second-tier free agents is probably their best option for improving the team.

Boozer is available, he was amnestied last week. I think he would be a nice stop gap unless PHX is content with last season's roster minus Frye and hoping to land a better spot in next year's lottery. I also like Monroe as he is young enough to grow with this team but DET will likely match a max offer plus there's competition for him.

I don't think that's actually occurred yet, just that it will happen if nothing else does. I know there are rumors floating that they will be trying to use his contract in a sign and trade for Gasol.

No, Boozer hasn't been amnestied yet. Chicago is still hoping to trade him and be off the hook for his salary.

Hm, I wonder what we could get from Chicago for taking Boozer off their hands.

I'd be fine with this, but I don't want another Okafor situation where the Suns pay the guy to spend the season "rehabbing" 3000 miles away because he can't stomach the thought of actually suiting up for them. Okafor could really have been useful down the stretch last season, and the Suns paid him his full salary for him to completely ignore them.

Assuming of course that he was healthy enough to play. Do we even know if he was? Is?
