Okay I know this is Q&D but I just wish the officials had the game in HD last night like I did. The Rockets scored on BOTH of these possessions:

I certainly recall clearly this one and thought "what the#$%@, how couldn't the baseline ref not see this!"

But overall, the refs were OK. They bit on Scola's flops a coupe times but made some make-up calls against him in inconclusive situations.

I thought there was a lot of home court calls for the Rockets... especially in the 1st half. It seemed like we kept getting ticky-tack touch fouls called against Frye (his 6th was absolute crap) & Amare while we had to get knocked to the ground to get a call on the other end. Some of those ticky-tack calls were happening with Rockets players battling for position down low before the ball had even crossed half court. Seemed like Joey Crawford was calling most of those.

To be fair, Scola, Battier, and even the aussie Anderson are all masters at the art of flops. So, it's not easy for refs. So, I gave them credit for making some make-up calls realizing after the earlier call that they might have fallen for the flop, and give the favor to Suns in an ensuing ambigous situation that involved the flopper. Frye is committing the same sins we used to call Amare on, by not moving his feet enough on defense. At least, I understand why the refs called them on him. To my taste, it was evenly called game in the end.

Good players like Nash and Hill are old. Crappy players like Lopez and Griffin are young.

and Richardson, LB, Amare are in their primes and have lots of good years left

Clark, Dragic, Frye, Lou, and Dudley are young.

Can't be so selective in your evidence and make a good argument.

Yes, we are going to be looking for a starting point in a year or 2 (I am not sure Dragic will fill that role, I think he will be a great bench guy). But there are so many great young pg's in the league right now, I think we will be able to pry one loose somewhere.
