I put Nash in the same boat as KJ he is a part of Suns history and should end his career here no matter the cost. That is just my opinion

I'm of the same mind as well. I would also put Grant Hill in the same type of respect category. However, as I have said before, if either wanted to be traded or leave the Suns I would do everything to accommodate them. This is because they have already given their all to the Suns. If they become uncomfortable if the Suns rebuild, they deserve to go to a contender or where they are happy. If they want to stay with the Suns, they deserve that too.

Since I was the one who adocaed "blowing up the team", I am confused by the contradictory responses I'm etting.

1. I am not expecteingto get unprotcted lottery picks for aging players. I'd say something is beter than nothing when a guy has value and his conract is schedule to exp;ire.

2. IMHO, the Suns owe it to Nash and Hill to be part of the process and find out where they want to go to. I'd just say no to going to the Knicks.

3. J-Riich has a large expiring contract. IMHO he has the most trade value . for teams wanting out of the LT or even more cap space

4. As the roster sits now, I'm not sure this team can do anything better than just barely making the playoffs in order to get knock out.

You started this thread but trust me, many of us have been advocating the same thing for some time now. We aren't going to win it all next year, there's a good chance we won't even make the playoffs.

Right now, while our aging star still has value seems like the perfect time to try and get a future asset for him. Especially since a lockout year quite probably looms on the immediate horizon. Take advantage of the timing for the CBA negotiations and it will be a lot easier to survive the box office impact of a serious rebuild plan.

Easy there big boy, I didn't suggest it at all. I was merely answering the previous question.

Ha, well wonderful. In case you didn't notice, most of the talk around here revolves around the Suns. I'm most interested in viable max players that may end up here. Next time I guess I'll slowly and deliberately spell it out for ya.

In a van...down by the river.
Not necessarily true... I wouldn't be surprised at all if, say by the mid-point of the next season the Suns are crapping the bed, that they look to move any one of all of Nash, Grant Hill and J-Rich. There will be teams in the hunt who might have something of value to offer in return - draft picks or quality young talent...
Could be,hopefully. What i should have said was effectively rebuild.
The trade value of a Nash,Amare,Hill was far greater 2 yrs ago. We would also have an expiring $21 million dollar contract in Shaq,as well as one year left on JRich's deal.

Doesn't matter now, my point was simply that IMO this hypothetical rebuild will be much more difficult at this point in time than it would have been immediately after the D'Antoni run.
