Whenever we don't let Duncan do whatever he wants then we get a foul called on us so we don't have much of a choice.

Does anyone else want to drown Jeff Van Gundy in a lake? Jesus, that man is some kind of obnoxious.

The refs are horrendous out there; they make it extremely difficult to support the NBA as a whole. Taking Shaq out of the game is only beneficial to the Spurs, and the refs know that. Calling fouls galore on the Suns, but when a Spur reaches around or bumps into one of our guys, nothing is called.

With that said, we really needed to force the lead down their throat to close the 2nd quarter, we got complacent and they got back into the game. Sure, I am happy we have an 8 point lead, but it should be at least 12.

I really like how they all collectively stepped up when Shaq went out, they are full of talent and confidence, but we need that in the 4th…more importantly.

Shaq needs to get going, go out there and defend Tim Duncan because apparently Amare can’t.

I am still a bit worried, but we have a lead…that is the most important aspect.

Let’s go out there and do what we did in the 1st, pass the ball, defend, and make shots.

whatever the other barry is, during the halftime-show hit he nail on the head...

i was telling my GF that, what the suns are doing is letting TD go off, but keeping everyone else in check.

Yes, yes, yes. I absolutely LOVE that we're giving Duncan the treatment that Popp gave Stoudemire in 2005. Although if it comes down to crunch time in a close game I don't think we can do that, gotta force someone else to step up for them.

I dont want to see Skinner any more in this series, he is terrible, a liabilty on both sides of the floor.

The 8 point lead is not bad, but the Spurs will be better in the second half (they cant be any worse than this), Amare has to play better, the Diaw magic wont last forever.
Nash trusted him. got into the paint, gave the rock to Skinner for the open 10footer. brick.

and they made a little swing with Skinner in.

suns should have 51pts right now.

Just keep hustling. And no whining from Stoudemire, please. We can do this.

Van Gundy is a horrible commentator for a Suns game because he hates offensive basketball and he comes off completely biased against the Suns.

Huh? Usually on defense? Brian Skinner is not Kurt Thomas, but he's got a lot of muscle and is much more sound defensively than Amare. Diaw may actually have better form on defense (doesn't go for so many blocks, just plays straight up), but Skinners strength and size is important. You'll never stop guys like Tim Duncan, the important thing is to throw different looks at him to try to keep him off balance.

Are you actually watching the game? Duncan has got most his points with DIAW guarding him. Lay off the pipe kid.

welll considering that Shaq only played 5mins. and we have an 8pt lead(could have been more, but we'll take it), i'd expect the suns to completely shut EVERYONE down.
its wishful thinking.

things to consider:

fouls - lets hope shaq & diaw can stay in it.

refs - lets hope they can call it fair, watch for the flop brothers.

offense - nash, bell, GG can step it up

Skinner just needs to realize that he can't reach on Duncan at all or the refs will call the foul. He tried to slap down on the ball as Duncan makes his swinging travel move into the paint and the refs will call that every time, even if its clean.

pick-n-roll killing the suns, really exploiting shaq right now - especially with 3 fouls.

I thought the officiating started off in a worrisome direction. One bad call against Shaq, one good call. A phantom call against Amare.

But, we got a few bad calls go our way. An out of bounds call that went our way early. Not counting the other bad out of bounds call against Manu, because he travelled first. I think SA fans have a few calls to legitimately bitch about. But, then again, welcome to our world. Oh, and that last call against Duncan was horrible. Can say that I feel sorry for him though.

3D picks up his 4th with another make up call.

TD gets his 3rd, wines & complains, so the refs had to give him a make up call down on the spurs offensive end.

GP could have easily been T'd up for his 2nd, but these are the spurs so nevermind.

Lets nix the ref bitching for now. Both teams are playing sub-par and we have a lead.
