Good start, Markieff on pace for a career night. Nice ball movement and Bledsoe is, as per usual, giving Westbrook fits.

Unreal. They are calling it a common foul. Unwilling to give him his second T but by the rules, that should have been a T IMO on Westbrook.

This Durantless Westbrook is taking ball hoggery to a new level. I wonder what his usage is since Durant went out, it has to be a record for the modern era. Kobe from 2005 might be the only comparable player.

I don't get to watch the suns often anymore, but whenever I do I am SO unimpressed with this team. They don't seem to play hard. A lot of attitudes. Questionable skillsets. I see little in the way of organization or team play. From the players to horny I'm extremely disappointed in this group. And I'm no fair weather or bandwagon fan. I can, and have, enjoyed a young enthusiastic growing team. I just get none of that from the current squad.

Once again, Len is on the bench with Markieff moved up to C and Marcus moved up to PF in the 4th quarter. And the Suns get outscored 33-18 in the quarter and lose.

I'll bet that even if Hornacek didn't have one tweener Guard available, he would still find a way to move the twins up to C and PF in the 4th quarter.

His obsession and the way he is developing the team are based on WUSSness!

This is post #8 on a game thread and I posted the last two.

It looks like the Suns have taken a major attendance hit on ASFN.

Not much else to say.. It's all been said a thousand times this season...
Bledsoe with 6 more TO's and continues to suck it up shooting.

B Knight is essentially done for the season, even though he played tonight.
It's depressing to watch. Gotta hope they make all the right moves in the draft and free agency...

He shot 5-12.

Go back to the Cards board man, you have nothing to contribute anyway.

The "tweener" guards didn't play in the 4th together. As usual, lets not let facts get in the way of rhetoric.

Where was the effort?

Tony La Russa wants the Dbacks to have effort and execution for all 162 games.

That's what everyone wants, but it's a lot more realistic in baseball than it is in basketball. A position player in baseball might be actively involved for only about five minutes in a full game. There aren't nearly so many decisions to make, nor actions to complete, as for NBA players.

No NBA team is always at full effort. If the Suns' "solution" is never to have a letdown in effort or execution, they are doomed, because that's an impossible standard.

More than anything else, they need talent, and a lot of it.

Alex Len is not ready to play 36mpg.

I like the way the Morris twins are playing since starting together. I think it makes PJ Tucker expendable which opens minutes for Warren at the 3.

I think Tucker could be traded on draft day for a decent return.

Maybe we could get Montrezl Harrell and WCS by maneuvering a little bit.

I am anxious to see what we do with Knight, based on the season he was having in Milwaukee I thought he is good but I have not been impressed with him at all so far.

I really do not understand Jeff Hornacek. Why did Goodwin play so little minutes yesterday? Didn't he earn minutes? Why can Jeff Hornacek not commit to rebuilding?

Dude you're all over anyone who supports Dragic but God help anyone who says anything about Bledsoe. Damn.

This is a SUNS board. If you want to talk about Dragic, who btw continues to stink it up in Miami, then maybe you should go visit some Heat forums.

Well. That's it. Time to develop the young guys and plan for the 13-14 pick.

You make some good points. In regard to T.J. Warren, he put up 18 points and 5 rebounds. He should take over Tucker's minutes because the Suns are going nowhere. Give the minutes to the younger player. Brandon Knight has been a disappointment thus far but he has only played like 11 games for the Suns. Maybe his market value goes down. It will be interesting what happens this summer. I too am surprised why Goodwin did not get more minutes because he is a player that brings energy to the game. I thought he was turning the corner.

I'm thinking Hornacek cannot commit to rebuilding because his job is on the line. The Suns have shuffled their roster to improve the chemistry on the team. It hasn't worked although a lack of talent is an undeniable issue. The problem cannot always be placed on the players. Sooner or later, Hornacek may be the next to go.

I don't think this. First, I think his job is safe. I think he was just doing everything he could to try to make the playoffs. Now that is a virtual impossibility.

The thing the fans will get most excited about now will be Archie, TJ, and Knight. If those guys play, play well, and even win a few, it will fire up the fan base.

Bledsoe needs to play just because he needs to develp, so does Len. We need to play the twins some just to keep up their trade stock. PJ can sit. He has a role here next year and we are not trading him. I am not sure what to do with Wright. I would like to keep him, but we have to play him to do that.

I'm not so sure. The Suns made a huge correction at the trade deadline to give Hornacek what he wanted. Presumably he wanted to keep Dragic. It's not all about winning because the Suns need more talent. I am concerned why the players cannot give a consistent effort. At some point, coaching plays a role.

This would be my hope. Something needs to spark the team and the fans.

I am not impressed with Wright but the Suns need to add to their front court depth not lessen it. I think the Suns need to add at least a couple of F/C type players through the draft or FA. Also the Suns desperately need more shooters. I am not unhappy with the twins as some are. Len is not ready to carry the load upfront. This is why I was so disappointed the Suns did not go after Kanter. Hopefully the Suns can add another center that is ready to play.

Where is Archie? Give him some burn even though B Knight is back.

On the trading block:
# Gerald Green
# PJ Tucker
# Brandon Knight
# The twins
# Eric Bledsoe
# Brandan Wright

Keepers:
# Alex Len
# Archie Goodwin
# TJ Warren

Whatever they do, do not ship out high draft picks. We have enough talent in the 15+ range. We need a star.

It's sad that even when the Suns were up by 20, I expected them to lose. The last two games the Suns were defeated by two of the best players in the league, two franchise players who carry and propel their teams onwards. Until the Suns acquire one of those, they really can't expect to compete at the same level.

That's the point. That Marcus moved from Small Forward to Power Forward and Markeiff from Power Forward to Center in the 4th quarter, regardless of the rest of the lineup.

And with Hornacek's obsession with small ball, the Suns got blown out . . . in the 4th quarter.

In the words of Bill Murray, that's the fact, Jack! :)
