According to this guy on RealGM:

Supposedly Suns plans for next year

Just for the record , this was a conversation between my friend who spoke with someone that is on the Suns payroll.. I asked for a name but he was unwilling to do so. So take this for whatever its worth. You don't have to believe me, just though you guys would like to know.

Supposedly, the Suns are not willing to commit financially to a mediocre PF unless its a blockbuster trade like bringing Josh Smith/Lamarcus Aldridge/Jokim Noah to the Suns. The only bargaining chip they have is Jason Richardson and many teams are calling for him. But the deals are mediocre at best. According to my friends source, the Bulls have been calling for JRich but are only offering Dang, young players and draft picks. The Suns asked for Noah but they quickly said no. The Suns don't want to commit to Boozer contract since he's had issues staying healthy in the past and he's not that young. They don't want another Hedo issue in their hands.

In their conversation, he mentioned that the Suns are going to let JRich contract expire and will use his money to get Marc Gasol in the off season. Gasol contract expires after this season which is 3.2 mil. They are willing to offer 10-12 mil a year to bring MGasol to. Phx with most of the salary front loaded. They feel very comfortable with a rotation of Childress and Dudley at the shooting guard. That's way they are very reluctant in including Dudley or Childress in any trade. They are actually not opposed of including RLopez if it brings that star power forward (JSmith/LAldridge/Noah)

Believe it or not, their has been four teams that have contacted the Suns and asked about Hedo. I know, I almost feel off my chair as well. According to him, the Kings where one of them who have contacted the Suns. The Kings feel like Hedo can relieve some pressure of off Tyreke Evans. They don't have a point guard and feel like Hedo can fill the roll with them like he did with the Magic. They have Dalamber(expiring contract) at center, Cousins and Landry(expiring contract) at PF and they would use Hedo as a point small forward. They currently have 43 mil on the books and Hedo would only cost them 7 mil this year since Jason Thompson would be coming our way. I'm not sure how true this is cause I believe the Suns would of made this trade in a heart beat.

Take it for what is worth. You don't have to believe any of this. Just thought I would bring this into light..

Possible 2011 Starting line up:
Steve Nash/Goran Dragic
Jared Dudley/Josh Childress
Hedo??
Channing Frye/Hakim Warrick
Marc Gasol/Robin Lopez

If that's the case with possibilities this year I'd do a 3-way:
Suns get: Dalembert/Thompson/Deng/Gibson
Kings get: Hedo/Lopez/Clark
Bulls get: J-Rich

Suns new line-up:
Nash/Dragic
Chill/Dudley
Hill/Deng
Thompson/Gibson/Warrick
Dalembert/Frye

Bench: Lawal/Siler/Barron

Defense and Rebounding are drastically improved with minor loss in scoring impact.

Let me guess: This guy "has a lot of credibility" on such-and-such other forum, and "has been right several times in the past." It's amazing what people will do for attention, even anonymous attention.

In any case, I speculated elsewhere that the Kings might possibly be interested in Turkoglu. There would be no reason for them to send both Dalembert and Thompson away, but my guess is that a Turkoglu-for-Dalembert swap could be worked out.

Thompson would be nice. Gasol would be great.

This bolded part reeks of fiction. ;)

SUNS wouldn't take draft picks, young players and Deng for JRich? I mean obviously it depends on who and what draft picks but still....who or what do they expect to get for JRich in a deal? :doi:

It strikes me as funny that the Suns would ask for Noah. The only way the Bulls agree to that is if they wanted to build a team like the Suns....too small.

The Bulls giving up Deng and Gibson for Richardson is almost laughable. Gibson has a very high ceiling and if not for Boozer being out cold be in contention for 6th man of the year, plus with Boozers history of health issues, he is a necessity. Then giving up Deng gives the Bulls no true wing. Plus the match up of Rose and Richardson has disaster written all over it. To put a defensive SG like Brewer or Bogans is the smart choice, then you bring in Korver when needed. I will pass and to be honest at this point, give me this team as it is even if Carmelo Anthony can he had. Giving up two numbers ones, Gibson, Deng and Omer Asik is way too rich for my blood for Anthony.

Any team at this point who asks for Noah better offer a top players back or be drug testes. He is a top five center in the league right now.

Deng has negative trade value, have to give something worthwhile to move him.

Who says I want to move Deng at this point. 20 PPG and starting to get his 3 point shot down and is a very solid defender.

If their gonna sign Gasol in the off-season and let J-Rich go, then why not just trade Richardson and trade exception to Memphis for Gasol and then acquire Thompson for Turkoglu?

I'm sure Memphis would rather get something for Gasol rather than have him just walk.

Absolutely.
And,among all the teams in the NBA who would show interest, the SUNS would surely lowball Chicago for Noah's services. They simply don't put a premium value on what a player like Noah brings to the table.

I seriously doubt the Suns even asked for Noah. If they wouldn't trade him for Carmelo, why would they trade him for JRich? That's absurd.

Sounds like an "insider" that read all the Suns message boards out there and compiled a fake email detailing them all like they're official.

I was just speaking to a friend of mine who also spoke to someone on the Suns payroll (and who couldn't be named). He said that the Suns were about to pull the trigger on a trade with the Kings where the Suns would give up Jared Dudley and a future protected 1st round pick for Jason Thompson and Antoine Wright. The only thing preventing the deal from happening at this point is that I made this all up just like Ray Ray from realgm probably did.

The hole is deep. No single trade is going to make a difference this season.

I agree. Although, don't we have to try? I would rather them try and get the ball rolling rebuilding this team by the trading deadline versus waiting for the offseason. I just don't know if they can.

+1
Definately, but like you said, the SUNS have very little flexability at this point. They have....JRich.

I just don't support a knee jerk trade designed to try to get this team into the playoffs.

Since we're stuck with this unbalanced team for at least the next 2 years anyway, I am not opposed to bringing in someone...ANYONE...to help out inside for the duration, provided it wont hurt us too much in 3+ years time.

If the Suns are only concerned about selling tickets then they should at least make the team watchable.
