A few things I got from this game...
-the refs were "decent" (compared to other Suns games played this year.)
- Amare Stoudemire cant make a 10 foot jumper
- Steve Nash is brilliant in clutch. (Like we didnt know that)
- Gentry is a good coach, but needs mroe experience. IMO. (e.g Taking Stoudemire out of the game and putting Lou in.)
- Lou Amundsen forgot how to box-out on Martell Webster.
- We REALLY REALLY miss J-Rich and Barbosa.
- Suns suck at protecting a lead.
Amare can't make a 10 foot jumper? It was falling until the 4th.
We knew this team was going to be Jekyll and Hyde this season. This teams hot start with the exception of a few games was against some pretty weak teams.
Our record against division leaders isn't that great. We have now gone 3-6 in the last nine games as well. This is just this team coming back down to earth. I expect the entire season to go like this. Win the occasional game against a good team, beat up on crappy teams and lose a bunch to average to slightly above average teams.
We probably won't see alot of streaks winning or losing. My guess is that we will see alot of .500 basketball until we hit easy parts of the schedule. The Suns should make up for losses to the good teams during those parts of the schedule.
I said it before, this team is not as good as it's record. If we start beating division leaders on a regular basis, I might change my tune.
