I thought I would post a thread on the Suns training camp where posters can leave comments. Below is a video link to camp news. I understand updates will be available daily during camp.

Per comments after today's training camp Alex Len has really bulked up and now weighs 263 pounds. McDonough and others believe he looks the best he has looked since being drafted. Also Archie Goodwin has added 10 ponds of muscle. This is encouraging news.

Wow. Coro said that Keef and Mook live in the same house and have a common bank account.

Is it me or is that a little weird?

Also this is definitely a unique situation where Babby puts 52 million on the table and lets the brothers decide how to divide it.

I don't find it weird. The joint bank account might be a little strange but it's a throwback to the way people use to live and still do in many parts of the world. It wasn't uncommon for people to have multiple generations living in the same house and a common collection of funds. Anyway, I have zero problems with this and in fact, I just assumed they lived in the same house.

They might be a little too close but its really not my place to judge them on where they live and how they keep their money etc.

It's weird by definition, in the sense of being highly unusual. I wonder what will happen if either of them finds a serious romantic partner and wants to live with that person instead. Maybe they are asexual (there are such people) and will live with each other forever.

I think they'd probably find sisters who are really close and like one another or two girls who are best friends who wouldn't mind living in the same house raising their families.

When does Thomas Robinson become a FA? I have a gut feeling that he will beg the Suns to sign him so he can rejoin team FOE.

Reminds me of the story of the Riordan family and mansion in Flagstaff.

I had friends that were identical twins. Its hard to understand their relationship. There's no way you can walk a mile in their shoes.

I certainly understand living together. They're brothers, they like one another's company, they can certainly afford a large enough house to give each other plenty of space. They are single. But having a common bank account seems a bit strange. I guarantee you none of my kids would want to have a common bank account with any of their siblings.

Who knows, maybe they have someone to manage all their bills etc, so maybe its more like a business than personal account.

In Marcus' on-camera interview on the live stream of media day Monday he hinted that he will end up getting his own house, presumably after one or both of them finds a woman. It was subtle and might have been a joke, but there you go.

The link that mainstreet posted leads to a second report today, similar to the one yesterday. There's bit of info about the scrimmages that was gathered from talking with some players. They said that Hornacek was asking for more fastbreaks than last year - music to my ears. Lets see, the players reported to them that Plumlee and Len were going hard at each other as were PJ and TJ. Some players said that Tolliver was showing a sweet three point shot. Another thing that was mentioned was that the 19 players were divided into 4 teams, each with a point guard - so they are not practicing 2 PG sets yet.

They also said they want to move faster and get into their half court set quicker--even when they don't break.

I think the Suns are going strong towards a SSOL model until they can hopefully develop a defensive identity. It's great to hear good reports about Len and Plumlee, especially Len. If they can develop, the Suns are going to be a very good team.

It's a little different though. Ssol wanted them to get shots off quickly. Jeff wants breaks when they are available but otherwise get into their half court set more quickly. There is a little more emphasis on the half court game and a little more patience once they get into it.

That's my take on it anyway.

I hope so. Under DA every open shot was generally a good shot. This is why he wanted shooters at every position. Shaq and Howard were not a good fit for this model.

That covers sets on offense.

What about strong rebounding? Or our best defensive players being the shortest player on the court or SMALL forwards.

Here's a link to an article about Len, which is from the twitter comments on the training camp site or whatever it is...

Bigger, Better Len Turning Heads at Camp | Phoenix Suns

It's just camp, I don't want to read too much into it but this is probably the most excited I've been going into a season in a very long time. If Plumlee, Len and Goodwin have all improved significantly we're going to be a very dangerous team. I don't see why we can't win our division this year if we can stay fairly healthy.

That's cool and everything, how about he stays healthy for at least 80% of a season before turning heads?

Thank you. For a moment there I almost had something to look forward to.

You can take some comfort in knowing when IT and Bled are our two PGs on the floor Eric won't be the shortest player in the game.:)

Edit: I am a little concerned about Len packing more weight but presumably it was added as a part of a training program overseen by out estimable training staff who'd take into account the stress fractures in his ankles. From what I've read about that issue, it seems that strengthening the associated muscles is the best way to combat the problem.

Ah, our two shortest players on the floor at the same time. Hell, I'm taller than IT. As someone posted, IT can sit on Bledsoe's shoulders for a rebound once in awhile. :D
