Looks like we rejected a Jae for Duncan Robinson trade from Miami.

We need that billionaire owner before we take on a terrible contract like Duncan Robinson's.

He's a good three point shooter but provides absolutely nothing else, he's hardly seeing the court right now for Miami.

This is actually a good sign. This tells me the Suns are not in it to make Jae happy. They want someone they can use in return.

As we should.

Call me crazy but I think Shamet can do everything he can.

It would be a horrible idea to trade Crowder along with other assets for Duncan Robinson.

Robinson has a bad contract. He will be paid about $17 million this season, then it progresses $18 million, $19 million and $20 million.

I am curious who proposed the trade. If it was Crowder's team they are crazy. If it was Miami, that was a pipe dream to get out from under that contract and it makes sense for them to tray and pull this off. Thank goodness the Suns appear to be about doing what is best for the Team verses Crowder and Miami.

The trade of Crowder for Duncan never made sense. It was one of those media hypothetical trades.

Maybe later on it could be a part of a larger multi-team trade. I don't see the Suns having any interest in Duncan.

Not from a Sun's perspective. It makes complete sense for Miami trying to get out from under that contract.

But that’s not bad. People really need to come to terms 15-20 million a year for role players is normal now. He’s a 3 point shooter and that’s a premium in the NBA.

He had a down year last year but the two years before he shot in the 40s from 3 and this year he’s shooting 50%

This team desperately needs 3 point shooting

I'd still take Clarkson over Robinson, cheaper better in every stat except 3pt % but he's so much more dynamic than Robinson.

I look at this team and I see two very very big holes, Three point shooting and rebounding.

We’re not winning anything serious playing ball like it’s 95. We don’t run and get fast break points and we don’t shoot 3s nothing is easy for us.

Clarkson is an inefficient chucker. He’s Landry Shamet 2.0.

Imagine if you will if Jones had helped Smith a rookie with no experience vs a vet with years of experience. Oops he did do that.

Hey Monty, Bizzy needs playing time too.

Our 3 point shooting is not that bad.

We were 9th in the league in percentage last year.

Mikal has not been shooting them yet for some reason but he is a near 40% shooter. Payne and Shamet should shoot a better percentage this year, and I expect Ayton to take and make more as the year goes on.

I'd rather spend the money elsewhere. He would tie up about $60 million for an additional three seasons.

The Suns are going to have to think twice about where to spend the money since they are in luxury tax territory.

Only minus the defense and far more ball hoggin.

Last night, TNT announcers said Crowder being away from the team is not about starting. That seems to make it about money.

I'd have to think his agent might know of a team willing to give him an extension. The Bucks make a lot of sense since they lost PJ Tucker. The Heat like Crowder as well.

Maybe a trade will be made near mid-December when more players are eligible to be traded or near the trade deadline.

I was wondering the same thing. The Suns don't seem to be in a hurry about moving him and don't seem bothered by it. Maybe there is already a fall back deal in place with players that can be traded in December.

This does lead one to believe there is a fallback trade in place for Crowder.

I'm not sure about that.

Personally I still think the plan is make a hard run at Durant or SGA or some other high quality piece at the deadline.

Waiting on an opportunity like that is more than worth it, since Suns are clearly good enough without Crowder to be solidly in the playoffs.

I don't see Crowder sitting through half the season. No way. I don't think Crowder's team would let that be and I don't see the Suns sitting on Crowder that long either.
