Nuggets are on cruise control same as last regular season. They will turn it up come playoff time. The Suns don't have another level they can turn it up to, because they don't have enough experience together, and they don't have enough legitimate rotation players.
I think more importantly, they have more reliable defenders in the rotation that can get stops when it matters. Phoenix still isn't there yet, and have to rely on other teams missing shots.

I have little doubt that if this team stayed intact we COULD be playing playoff style basketball by the end of the season.
Any trades to make it easier is gravy.

Bridges would help but I don't want to hear the S storm that would bring.

Don't know much about Royce O'Neal or Jae Sean Tate so I refuse to care, they have to show me if they come here.

Andre Drummond could help but doesn't move the needle much unless we dump Bol or/and Eubanks.
He's a good rebounder that can clog the lane but he's slower than Nurk and has a French name.

If we get Courtney Finney Smith I'm moving to another state, prolly California so I have a choice of 4 teams to cheer for depending on whos playing better.

Issac Okoro is the epitome of Meh!

Get me a defensive minded pass first PG, someone in the realm of a Jevon Carter would do. Someone I can stand in front of the Brunsons, Dames and Kyries of the league without worrying they will do something stupid.

I would imagine if the Suns traded for him than he likely isn't seeing much of a suspension this year. Maybe the belief is that he will likely avoid any suspensions until next season.
I don’t see how the Suns could know since his court date is at the end of month.

P.S. The fact that we are even talking about this dude makes me throw up a bit in mouth.

Don't know how long he'll be gone but we do know he can't control himself so you can't invest in him

But the thing for me is - and this is if I have my facts straight - the car with the pool balls incident - if Bridges "current" girlfriend was right there set tripping with him - that means he's not trying to surround himself with the type of people that would've tried to stop him

Not to mention he beats women

And who carries around billiard balls to throw at cars? Or am I just out of the loop on the contemporary customs for public confrontations?

The Suns still won two games from the Nuggets in the playoffs last season with a worse team.

However, the Suns do need to solidify the interior defense.

I don’t see how there’s even the most remote opportunity to land someone in trade if there’s competing teams. Maybe in the rare case of someone like miles bridges having veto power. But that’s it.

This ignores the potential of a team who has played a small handful of games together at full strength actually improving during the course of the season - which is a silly notion considering we’ve already seen some of that growth. I get that you’re out on this squad, but the “no next level” available argument is faulty. It could be accurate, but it’s not the truism you claim it to be.

Can the team improve some, yes.

Can it improve enough to beat the Clippers - I really don't think so. Why do I say that - because they have a comparable big 3 and very good depth and far superior coaching.

We aren't going to miraculously find quality depth.

Do we still have an outside shot yes - but to me it only exists because injuries happen.

Will I sell my soul to win a Championship. Will I sell my soul to hire a wife beater? My soul is not for sale but if Charlotte is selling Bridges for peanuts, I’m opening up the peanut farm

My concern is the Suns put all the peanuts in the basket and only make this one move. They likely don't have the assets to make multiple moves. Then at the end of the month, the legal system smacks him down. If that happens the NBA will suspend him again. Then it was a move for nothing.

Another potential is let trade deadline pass and pick up a player or two who were released by a team. I'd like this because then we don't lose Okogie or Bol Bol.

Except the odds of anyone good being available and choosing Phoenix are very slim. If anyone has a salary over $12m a year and is bought out then the Suns can't sign them. Who is paid less than that who will be bought out? Maybe a veteran or two but realistically the best player from the buyout market we might get is PJ Tucker, who is 38 and not playing for the Clippers. What does that say about what we can add?

Name the last buyout who legitimately made an impact in the playoffs.

I can't think of any.

But I do agree of our min players Okogie and Bol would be 2 I don't want to trade.

If we acquire Bridges then it will let us surpass the Clippers

This is very much assuming that PG and Kawhi can stay healthy through the playoffs, history suggests they will not..

Assuming he doesn't get suspended. Seems just as likely as the injuries eventually biting the Clips or us again.
