The team is 8-2, losing only to the NBA Finals participants from last season. We've also already had 3 back-to-backs and as far as rest periods go with no travel, this is the first time this season we've had 2 straight days without a game and virtually no travel for it. (We've had 2 instances where we had 2 day breaks, but one was right before the road trip, and the other was in the middle of it)

Think about it, if on October 21st, if someone would have told you that 10 games into the season we'd be 8-2, they would have been ridiculed as a complete homer. On this board. By fellow Suns fans.

And isn't it interesting that both times that the negative people come out were right after our losses? And not just negative about the games, mind you, negative about the entire season. That's probably what will happen the entire year. Crickets chirping during wins but massive complaining and sky is falling posts during our losses. Not surprising, actually, but a little depressing that so many fans are so negative.

We aren't going to win the championship this year, might as well enjoy it. And if you don't enjoy it, then don't watch. Because in the end, what's the point?

Again - you need to seriously calm down. I certainly have not stated anything close to "the sky is falling" or "negative about the entire season"... unless of course you see 55-60 wins from this team as a negative.
Get a grip dude... :mulli:

Bleh. So they lost to the world champs, who had 3 days rest, on a back-to-back. Not the end of the world.

Newflash: Kobe is a dirty player, but darn, he's good.

In essence Stoudemire cost the Suns the chance to even compete with lakers.

He is getting paid 17 Million a year to be an unstoppable scorer atleast inside. Yet going 2/15 is a complete disaster.

Against these teams... teams that adjust to shut down your strengths... in this case, Suns's outside shooting... Stoudemire is on the court as that guy who will force the defense to adjust to stop him inside... yet going cold basically allowed the other team to outplay you in every aspect. Its not like he could contribute or "make up" for his lack of offense on the defensive end... Andrew Bynum had a career game (as with many other big men it seems)... Odom is always a factor on the boards... no one on the Suns can put a body on him somehow....

Bottomline.. the Suns outside shooting were clamped against the Lakers, which meant the inside was "loose"... Stoudemire is regarded as one of the best finishing, inside offense big man and he gives you 2/15 night. To lose by 20 is actually lucky.... even without Gasol.

So, what's the conclusion? Trade Amare for Biedrins or Dalembert or Jamison, as many proposed over the summer? Did you even watch the game? It's not like Amare was forcing bad shots. He was visibly adjusting to his new body and consequently his touches for close range shots. He has been doing this soft touch jump hooks well until against Bynum whose size apparently was some new obstacle for Amare to adjust to. Besides, all Suns players aside from Nash and bench missed tons of easy/open shots all game long. So, as long as Amare seemingly has been learning and adjusting and improving, we shouldn't be too concerned!

Hey Craplin, if you're referring to me, check out the Heat & Hornets thread...and get your facts straight.
I've been pleasantly surprised by this team's scrappyness and drive.....that isn't gonna keep me from telling it how i see it.
I know how you see it and thats cool....we're all SUNS fans.
If you're gonna keep calling people out i'm going to do the same.
Enjoy! :)

Did you really call me "Craplin"? I guess I should be angry, but I'm laughing too hard at your idiotic comeback. I didn't think name calling was allowed here.

As far as referring to you, you need to get a grip. I never called you out by name, but if you think it's about you, that says something, doesn't it?

Wow the Suns forum really gets emotional after a loss. Instead of ripping each others heads off, go for a jog or something.

Lakers just got blown out worse then we did, and they had a 3 game rest before the back to back compared to the suns having a crapload of games with no more then 1 days rest and only between some of them.

The suns shot terrible and that is expected with tired legs. I look forward to the next suns vs lakers meeting unless it is another one that is scheduled like garbage.

As soon as amare gets back into shape I really believe this teams is as good as the ones that made it deep into the playoffs a few years back..if not better considering our bench.

Those teams were alot more one dimensional than what we have today yet everyone was expecting 60 win seasons and WCF appearances every year.

The next time we play the Lakers (Dec 6th) it's the 2nd night of a back-to-back and our 1st game is at home and then we fly to LA. It'll also be our 4th game in 6 nights with 2 back-to-back sets.

December is going to be a horrible month for us with 10 out of 16 games against the top teams... Cavs, Lakers, Mavs, Magic, Nuggets, Spurs, Blazers, Cavs, Lakers, Celtics. We'll be lucky to do better than 9-7 in December. I'll have to remember to send a Christmas card to the schedule makers (sarcasm).
