Eh. I'm not too concerned about this loss. It was our offense that failed us today, nothing else. How often has our offense failed us this year, 2-3 games all season?

nice job by amare to choke at the line as usual. nice job by nash to continue taking stupid 3's when they weren't falling all game long. i had a bad feeling coming into this. We are now the only team currently in the playoffs that dallas has beaten since the kidd trade. excellent work!

LOL, we scored 9 pts in the 4th. WOW, and to the dude who keeps telling people to AIM him - Get lost. That's just bizarre.

You mean STAT who is one of the best FT shooters amonf the NBA's big men and Nash one of the best three point shooters in the game.

They didn't drop today, that won't always happen.

who cares how good they are? amare has missed free throws in the clutch about 3-4 times this year. i could have handled 1 out of 2, maybe. but missing 2 of 2 is just unacceptable. Nash shot like crap all game. That would generally be a sign to not shoot the ball as much down the stretch. He shot a couple 3's right off the inbound while leaning in and while totally off balance. that isn't exactly a good way to get your stroke back.

While this is a VERY FRUSTRATING loss, a game we had complete control of, anyone who thinks this is what is to come has moronic tendecies. You can't seed follow after every game, its too close.

I just can't believe the Suns beat themselves, they had every opportunity to win this and got complacent. Simple as that, they didn't execute and the Mavericks did. But, what I will say is....this was a Sun's loss. They lost it by themselves, sure the Mavs executed down the stretch, but that wasn't why we lost. We lost because we stopped playing. It pains me to say, they just got bored out there.

A loss is a loss, and while I was biting and picking at my nails in the 4th, there is still over a week to go in the season. If this comes back to bite us on the ass, say the Lakers win the division by 1 game, then this was a monster loss. But, if they regroup and get in the same mind frame again, a win vs the Spurs could really boister the confidence.

Too soon to judge though.

A horrible 4th quarter and no one is to credit the Mavs with the win, it was a Suns letdown, period.

God, I can't wait to see ESPN and how they play down the Suns and praise the Mavs after 1 win....

you seem to think that the fact that the suns choked this game away makes us better or something. if the mavericks had beaten us, we could at least say that we lost to a half-decent team. the fact that we beat ourselves is 10000x worse. we turned the ball over, missed free throws at the end, and just gave the game away. That simply won't cut it in the playoffs. People were too easily convinced that this team had changed and all of our woes were gone because we started to win a few games, but i had some strange feeling that not much had changed. It sure looks as if, unfortunately, i was right.

on top of all of this, houston plays the clippers tonight. They should easily win and be a full game ahead of us, putting us against the lakers in the first round. this could be much bigger than the immediate impacts.

I'm not even going to watch ESPN. Just speechless about this loss and don't know if I can handle watching the playoffs. I love the Suns but this team drives me crazy sometimes

Did Steve Nash throw the game? It's a crazy idea, but Dirk is his best friend and Dallas is struggling to make the playoffs and that was the worst I have ever seen Nash play in crunch time. He missed 7-8 shots in the 4th, took horrible shots, had multiple turnovers on bad passes........it looked like he wanted to lose.

Ok, the Suns now have to win all remaining games in order to meet my 56-26 prediction. 5 games left. Let the seed watching begin!

i'd rather beat ourselves than lose cause we are the worse team.. the only team i think that is more talented than us in the league is boston.. if we play to our capabilities we can win the west in the playoffs.. this makes me happy..

I expect to get blasted for posting that, but did you ever expect to see Nash play that badly in a big game?

Now that's really crazy. :p

Nash was shooting the ball poorly (4/11) and turning the ball over (4 turnovers) prior to the 4th, so his 4th quarter play was more or less an extension of his play during the rest of the game.

i didn't say lose because we are the worse team. i just said it's better to lose when the other team beats you. Another team beating you is corrected in a 7 game series by making adjustments between games. Beating yourself is harder to fix in the short amount of time we have left to go.

By the way, in terms of talent, we are certainly not the 2nd best in the league. Denver is full of talent, as are detroit (4 all-stars ), new orleans, and the lakers. i would rank us 4th on a good day.

Having a completely terrible, pathetic 4th quarter is one of the worst omens for a team looking to make noise in the playoffs. Sorry to say but we really choked on this game.

First we had bad defense in 05, then it was being a pure jumpshooting team in 06, then it was terrible rebounding in 07.

I can deal with that.

What I cannot deal with is being a choking team, this better be the first and last game we pull that garbage. You have to realise we didn't just choke. We choked in the 4th against the freaking mavs, a team known to be terrible lately in the 4th quarter.

So now the major impetus is on this team to bring it to the spurs in that upcoming game or the jury is out after this pathetic, disgusting, degrading loss. I absolutely can't stand these types of losses anymore. In 06 it made sense since we were a jumpshooting team, but now it is just choking plain and simple and is flat out unacceptable.

Well that just supports what I said. He shot like crap the whole game and made careless turnovers and just got worse as the game got close, yet kept trying to take bad shots.

Look, I want to believe this is just a horrible game for Nash, but his play was disgusting today and it's just a coincidence that it happens against his best friends team that he hangs out with before every game they play against each other, who happen to be struggling to stay in the playoffs and can't beat teams above .500.

I never said choking makes us better, I just think we are still better than the Mavs, that was the point of my post. Who is to say that is whats to come in the playoffs? Amare won't miss fts that often down the stretch, Nash won't hoist up shuts when something better was on the floor. I believe they can do damage in the playoffs and I always have, but if you say by the loss today that this team will fail in the postseason, then something is wrong. They had an off game, it does happen you know. You can't expect a team to win out. No lead in the NBA is safe and everyone should know that. But take it as it is, a loss. Nothing more, nothing less. Quite frankly, the Lakers don't scare me if we play them in the playoffs. Yeah they have the better record and blah blah, but I will still pick the Suns over the Lakers any day.
