We'll can it be worse than last night? I can't imagine that.

The Suns seem to get up for the good teams.

Looks like no Marion tonight.

After spraining his ankle in the opening minutes of last night's game against Denver, Phoenix forward Shawn Marion does not expect to play tonight against Dallas.

O'yea

Should be a fun game to watch/listen to.

Suns better win this game.

With Marion out this could be a long game.

True at least Casey will get the start.

My favorite thing about DirecTV is that when the other team broadcasts the Suns game, whenever Casey Jacobsen comes in the announcers say "Hey, this kid can really shoot the ball. You can't leave him alone out there." And then when he misses a free throw they say, "Wow, a rare miss by Casey Jacobsen." Hmmm...research much?

I have heard that as well from other announcers.

I would probably start Zarko.

IMO Frank will not start someone over 6-8 for a small forward, maybe he will start Barbosa.

Your probably right, he will more likely move JJ down to SF and Penny or Jacobson at SG.

It's easier to apply racial stereotypes, perhaps, than to gather facts. :(

Come on guys! I know after last night's debaccle things look a little bleak. Things got a little heated both on the basketball floor and on this message board. First of all I'd like to take one out of Frank Johnnson's book and just put that night behind us. Really, I appologize for last night, and I wish we could just get past it.

Chap, really, I wish we could talk on these boards without constantly being at each other's necks. Most of the time I agree with what you say, but everytime I say anything it seems like it's responding to something you said against me. For whatever reason that is, I want to put it behind us.

As for the Phoenix Suns vs. the Dallas Mavericks, I'm going to enjoy watching us win tonight. We're coming home after being in Denver (which, ironically, is very high up, but still resembled hell), after the most embarassing loss in recent memory. I've said it before and I'll say it again: This team does not like getting beat like that, and you can always see that the following game. If you don't expect to see a fired up Suns team, you don't know this Phoenix Suns team.

This may sound like a strange idea, but I say we should all really come together tonight, so it will be that much better to watch the Suns come together on the floor tonight, and cheer on our team to victory. What do ya say?

Not to take one from Schutd, but, Suns rule!

Actually, I hear Scott Skiles turned down the Bulls coaching job and is coming out of retirement again to start at small forward.

Head coach Frank Johnson on the upcoming game: "I like the matchup of Scott against Dirk. It's skill ball, you know? Plus, the Mavs have no interior defense, so we plan to exploit that by going with a lot of lineups like Joe Johnson at the five, Casey at the four, Penny at the three and then a backcourt of Leandro Barbosa and a recently acquired circus midget. I plan to also force their entire team baseline, but the trick is, there will be no one down low to help out. The goal is that the Mavs won't notice and will keep kicking it out to shooters. We're also trying to work out a trade to acquire a tribe of pygmies, but with the collective bargaining agreement the way it is...well...you know. I just leave that up to Jerry. Or is it Brian? I still have a job, right? Okay, good. Just checking. I think D'Antoni is forming an alliance with the players. Can I get him fired? I still have a job, right?"

You forgot one thing:

"We'll double Shawn Bradley down-low, and hope they don't make shots from the perimeter. They're not good at that, are they???"

I would absolutely love to see us come out tonight and play a respectable game--even in a loss.

But yesterday doesn't give me any reason to expect our gameplan, or lack thereof, to even allow us to compete tonight. We have the talent, but not the gameplan. Plain and simple. The Mavericks are probably going to kick the living crap out of us.

Playing the Mavericks is all about defense, and after allowing the Nuggets to roll 110 points off of us, it's going to be a really loooong night against Dallas. :(

Agreed Chap.

This game could be scary with how well Dallas scores. Really scary!

I dunno.. I could see us losing by 20, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Everybody said the same thing about the Lakers game, and we should have won that game. I'm not saying a loss is impossible, but I won't say a victory is, either.

I'll never say a victory is impossible, but if this team is coached in the same manner it has been this season, we will most likely lose, especially against a team like Dallas. We have yet to play a good game since we lost to Utah.

Personally, I can't remember a good game we've played since we lost to San Antonio, and I don't mean in the season opener.

Nevertheless, with the character this team usually displays, sometimes we have the ability to transcend whatever weak gameplan we're sent into battle with.

Honestly, when is the last time the Suns got a win, and anybody thought credit should go to the team's preparedness for the game, or to the coaching? We win when enough players happen to step up more than the other team's players.

Penny just had his stupid turnover. Passed it right to a Mav (Finley I think)
