Suns Vs Pistons game thread

Most of us have noticed that the refs stopped calling hand check fouls and holding like they did early in the season, so it is not a shock to find the Suns not doing as well while the Pistons are thriving.

I agree it pisses me off every game I see the other team just holding on to Nash or Barbosa.

I think it's going to come down to how well the Suns shoot the ball from the perimeter and officiating. If the Suns are hitting 3's then it'll spread the defense so they can go inside some. If the refs don't allow hand-checking, 3 seconds in the lane, over the back, hacking, etc. then the Suns will have a good chance as well. If Detroit's allowed to beat us up then we're going to need great shooting nights from at least 6 players.

I think he got bumped which caused him to move. I don't think a travel would've been a good call because he traveled as a result of a foul.

and that's why he paused in the middle of the play. he was expecting a foul, but when one wasnt called, he went ahead with the play. it just so happens that he travelled, so the refs let him get away with it.

dang, the refs really let them play today. 15 fouls for the Pistons, 11 for the Suns according to CBS. Can that be right? Perhaps the refs saw how incredibly boring and slow the Pacers/Nuggets game was before.

that was a great game, Nash really came up big late in the game. Amare was a beast inside. Can't believe he got away with that travel though.

SA has relatively light schedule except the Phoenix game. It will be tough to catch up with them. One nice thing is that game against Suns will be their second of the back to back.

They really didn't call fouls against either team. They probably called more in the 4th qtr than the 1st 3 qtrs combined. It really favored Detroit's style of play though because it allowed them to hack the crap out of the suns all game long.
Amare did travel, but only because he was getting bumped and shoved by the Wallaces under the basket. Rasheed should've gotten a technical for charging the ref and screaming at him after the play.
