Just thought some of you out of towners maybe did not know that.

Where is everybody? No post for this game?

Suns by 10 Rockets will score about 90-95 points no more.

Nice win!!!

Marion, JJ and Casey gave their A games. Great efforts.

Amare seemed a bit out of it but it's only natural when Rocket determins to shut him down.

Nash seems a bit out of it too.

Q was great but he should finish those easy baskets. :)

Oh wait, I gave Hunter an A game too. He did exactly what he is supposed to do. To take fouls for Amare and to harrase Yao which he did very well. Hunter also stopped Mutumbo's miracle night. LOL No offense...but I would call that miracle offense.

Anyway, it's still a great W. :)

28-4

PS: I want to add that Amare has really become a star because he has a lot of star-treatment tonight. hehe. Nothing wrong with it because he earns it. But can he PLEASE work on his foul shot and Block out???

The suns did not pick up the option on CJ this year.

There has been talk here about some other players that would be just as good and maybe better for cheap.
I think there were three of them in the game tonight and they did not look as good as CJ. Berry, Sura, and Wesley.
I would not trade CJ for any of them. I think the suns will resign him and keep him on this team. I have watched him help the other players by telling them where they should be on the court and knock down a shot when he is open and playing very good team defense.
He played against McGrady tonight and did a decent job.

Keep this team together and try to add a veteran big man and maybe a b/u point guard, depending on what Barbosa does by the end of this year.

Amare certainly struggled to get his points, but he forced the Rockets to pack the paint and leave the Suns shooters open.

One key to the game was a coaching decision. D'Antoni pulled the guards back into the paint to rebound rather than always releasing. Richardson had 14 rebounds and Johnson had 12 as the Suns matched the Rockets in rebounding.

This was a solid win. The Rockets are the second best defensive team in the NBA, but the Suns scored 108 points and shot 45.9% against them.

Thank goodness I'm not a Rockets fan. If I had to watch games where my team had Bob Sura, David Wesley AND John Barry I'd have to scratch my eyes out. They had Sura, Wesley, SCOTT freaking PADGETT, and Barry on the floor in the last 2 minutes.............they are horrible.........

Now, on to other matters. I am in a basketball dream world right now..... the Suns just won back to back road games against the T'Wolves and the Rockets.....can anyone imagine reading that sentence one year ago (which, BTW, isn't today the one year anniversary of the Marbury deal?)???? They're 28-4. On the dish, I've seen just about every game, and EVERY single opposing team's broadcast crew comments on how the Suns play an exciting brand of BBall, and play it well. This is has to be almost as good as it gets.

I can't take the 'trade rumors' or the 'they should be doing this or that' that occurs so frequently. I used to watch the games passively and then get fired up when reading what everyone had to say on this board. Heck, I've been around lurking for the most part since the 'rivals.com' days. But now, I just want to watch the Suns play, be glad I'm a fan, and spend 5 minutes a week here seeing what others have to say.......

Here's to the rest of the season and the playoffs. Will they win the title? I doubt it, but if they continue to play like they've played the first 2 months of the season, it'll be fun watching them try.....

Did anyone else notice that Steve Nash looks a little like Vaughn from 'Alias?'

No other team has started this well and NOT won the title. Food for thought.

Of course probably the #1 thing people on this message board have been calling for is more Stephen Hunter. More specifically most people have wanted to see Hunter and Amare play together. The last couple of games that's what we've seen, and I think it's pretty safe to say that the sons are playing some of their best basketball right now.

Very good observation.

Of course this ESPN Suns game is one of the RARE treat for me. I've noticed a few things:
1.) Q does have a pretty decent post up game. He and JJ looked kinda alike when not zoom-in and I thought that was JJ doing the post up. LOL

2.) Rox did try to stop Q from posting up in the end so this free up even more space for other shooters.

3.) Q and JJ responded really well. Again, this is a good coaching decision. This shows how versatile this Suns team is. Almost too good to be true. hehe

I heard that 3 teams that had 28-3 all won the championship.

Well, we are 28-4... I hope that 1 more loss doesn't jinx it. If Suns wins the championship, it will probably be the biggest story for the past 5-6 years in NBA.

That was just a great overall game. We really had a team effort and almost had 5 guys with double doubles (Amare & Shawn both 1 reb short). Amare really struggled inside against Yao (who got away with a lot of body contact and arm slaps against Amare) but the Suns weren't having too much trouble scoring on Mutumbo. The dunks by Amare and Marion over Mutumbo were just sick. Amare got the ball at the elbow, drove across the lane and towards the hoop with Mutumbo on his hip, he elevated and did a one handed reverse dunk behind his head right past Mutumbo's outstretched arm. Marion's wasn't quite as flashy, but he cut to the basket and caught the ball in full stride and elevated from about 6ft from the hoop over Mutumbo for the jam.

Casey Jacobsen had a very good night. Even defensively he looked pretty good although it wasn't fair when he was trying to defend McGrady one-on-one. That said, almost all of his points (12 of 14) were from wide-open three-point shots. He had enough time to cook and omelette before shooting most of the time (don't ask why I chose cooking an omelette... I must be hungry).

I loved it when Amare dunked on Mutumbo in the 2nd qtr. Mutumbo tried to say Amare travelled... when is was so obvious he just got beat to the basket.

It wasn't a walk...Thats Amare! In your face.

lol.

No........I am talking about CJ=Casey Jacobson.
He was switched over to McGrady a number of times and did well playing against him. He is a very smart player that knows what the suns want him to do when he is on the court, and helps others by instructing them on court.

The suns did not pick up his option and people on this site have traded him a number of times because he is too slow, and we should pick up a player for cheap that would be just as good.

JJ is a given..........the suns will sign him to whatever it takes!!!
