I’m beginning to worry that cheese is right. Not much fight in Ayton. Unfortunately I think it’s going to take an opponent taking a cheapshot at him to wake him up.

Much better 2nd stint, finished the half with 10 and 6 but he's still so easy to drive and score on I just don't get it. Steph went right at him and laid it in, I think he was afraid he was going to pass but no resistance at all. Klay beat Booker and missed a point blank layup, I guess you credit Ayton with bothering it but he basically just hit the back rim. I think it's pretty apparent the Warriors don't think Ayton is much of a rim defender at this stage they're attacking him mercilessly. Ayton -18 in the first half.

You guys are the unfortunate team that caught the Warriors when the refs didn't call fouls nonstop and let the game flow freely. One of these games they're going to start making 3's and beat someone by 40, Klay is something like 2-21 on 3's this year.

Ayton really does seem to be rushing his shot. As poor of a game as he is having he still has 10/6 at halftime. Just needs to calm down a little out there. Defensively I'm not at all surprised as he is going to be exposed by teams like GS because they are the best offense in the game.

This game is really making me realize making a vain attempt to win now is ridiculous. We have to be patient. Let our guys develop and let the luxury tax and father time take care of the Warriors.

This is embarrassing. They gave up 70 points on 61% shooting. Jackson, Ariza, and Anderson are awful. Warren and Bridges need more minutes. JJ can sit a few games out. Ariza needs to go to the bench when he misses his first two shots. Anderson... well... I kind of miss Bender at this point.

I don't think we have gone into "win now" mode. We have simply made moves to help the team move towards winning and to help the young players to develop a winning mindset.

Way too many miscommunications on defense leading to layups. Also some serious lapses in effort getting back in transition.

agreed. they shouldn't be moving any more assets and Sarver's comments after firing McD that we should already be flipping the switch to start winning is ludicrous. We were the WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE last year. This is still a major learning season.

That said, y'all know I was one of the most vocal members of the A-train, but right now (and even in Game 1 to a certain extent), Ayton looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane, especially on D. That's not to say he'll never be great or anything like that, but he needs to find some fire in his belly. He's got all the talent in the world and that might have worked to an extent in college, but it won't in the NBA. Come on big fella... show us some desire out there.

I still think people are contorting that quote. To me he is saying that we need to start focusing on winning. That doesn't mean that he suddenly expects the team to make the playoffs this year, but that this season should be a step in the direction of making the playoffs soon. In other words flipping the switch from intentionally losing a lot of games to now trying to add to the win total on a consistent basis.

I don't care which guy, Anderson or Ariza, but TJ needs to start. TJ has been more consistent than either Anderson or Ariza.

Has to be over Anderson. We would lose a little size, but would be more versatile on defense and more potent on offense.

I've been talking around this for awhile now. NBA players hit their peak around 26. We don't have a bunch of talented NBA players, we have a bunch of talented young men and until they mature, fill out, gain experience and come into their own, we are going to be overmatched most nights. In addition to that, we have neither a starting point guard nor a starting power forward. Teams, even mature teams, struggle when they have 2 huge holes in their starting lineups. And our bench has a ways to go too.

Ayton will figure it out. He just has to understand that he can't coast in the NBA.

Yup. It's the one bad thing of being this much better than anyone you played for so long ... you can develop bad habits. It will take some time to get out of those but he can easily if he wants to

The suns are making really bad decisions and turnovers. 14 so far and most of those are not because of the warriors.

Booker needs to be more decisive with Klay on him. Klay will eat him up all day with him being indecisive like this.

Anderson needs to sit on the bench and let the younger players play.

Booker is STILL 5 years from that peak! Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

If I recall, the Warriors switch everything. It shouldn't be too hard to get Klay to switch off of Booker.
