15th March, 2006 - 1:19 pm
Seattle PI - Sonics coach Bob Hill said the Suns were also interested in acquiring Chris Wilcox before the trade deadline. "If they got Wilcox and (Amare) Stoudemire, they'd be fighting over the ball above the rim, who's gonna dunk," he said. [READ]

maybe it is just me but i dont remember wilcox even dunking last night. sure he would make a nice back up but dang he isnt anywhere close to amare and if wilcox knew what was good for him there wouldnt be any fighitng with amare it would be more of the get out of the way or get hurt.

He did have at least one monster dunk... It is in the nba.com game highlights as well. But I agree he is not even close to Amare level so that comment on above the rim is ridiculous.

Wilcox is a nice supporting player. I'd love to have him coming off the bench. I would be fearful if I needed him to give me 15 and 10 on a nightly basis, although on this team he'd be a nice role player in any lineup.

Wilcox would have been solid in the Suns' system. He hasn't developed much, but the tools are there for him to become a poor man's McDyess.

No chance the Clips would have given him to the Suns just for draft picks, of course.
