Per a Paul Coro article at azcentral dated 9-10-14, the Suns will hold a public scrimmage at NAU. See link below.

The first chance for the public to see the Suns will come Oct. 4 in Flagstaff — and it's free.

The Suns will play an intrasquad scrimmage at noon that day at Northern Arizona University's Walkup Skydome. It will cap a five-day training camp at NAU, where the Suns returned to train last year after a 10-year absence.

Suns add point guard

The Suns are adding undrafted Memphis point guard Joe Jackson to their training-camp roster.

The Suns previously also gave training camp invitations to undrafted Florida swingman Casey Prather and veteran power forward/center Earl Barron. Jackson, Prather and Barron will be the only players at camp without guaranteed contracts.

Nice to see the Suns back at Flagstaff.

Good! I'm here! Last year was a blast. McDonough was unfriendly tho, tried to talk to him. Compared to Brian Colangelo McDonough is a prick.

All the players were cool. Good time all the way around.

I like him as a GM but I do get the feeling that he's a little full of himself. I don't really care for that personality trait but I like it a lot better if you live up to it from a results standpoint.

i sat right below BC that year we opened the playoffs to the grizz. he was such a pleasure to meet. made me feel welcomed to the arena and a proud suns fan. McD was the complete opposite, such a jerk.

My opinion, McDonough appears confident because he knows his job inside and out, especially in regard to player talent. He strikes me as the type person who lives and breathes his job 24/7. Perhaps this can be perceived as being aloof. However, I do not know him personally so this is only how I perceive him. Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, a huge improvement over Lance Blanks and Steve Kerr as I view it this early in his tenure.
