Kaycee's Daddy
I am not sure how much I believe that but that is what he is saying from his sources.
If the Suns are indeed interested in bringing back Marion (though I doubt they could afford him any more than Odom), wouldn't that be finally admitting that the moves over the last two seasons have been a mistake? It seems that Kerr is trying to put the same team together we've had two years ago, albeit two years older. Then again, he could just as well tear it all down tomorrow and that wouldn't surprise me either.
Also saying that Cleavland might be interested.
No. The only way it would be a mistake is if you think the Suns were going to win a title with Marion. Our record was great except against the elite teams over the last season and a half with Marion. It was a good risk trade no matter what IMO.
Nash/Dragic/Barbosa
Richardson/Barbosa/Tucker
Marion/Dudley/Clark
Amare/Amudson/Frye/Clark
Chandler/Lopez/Stoudemire
That is extremely deep.
Depth is useless unless it's quality depth. Counting Amundson and Lopez among your second-stringers, or counting Tucker at all, isn't quality depth. You can make very long lists at each position with names separated by slash marks, but that doesn't indicate depth.

Huh? It was a horrible trade, IMO. By bringing Marion back mgmt is pretty much confirming this fact; only problem is that it's 2 years later and we can't go back in time.
I would love to have Shawn back in Phoenix.

Its all about timing. Why blow it up this year if we aren't getting the pick? It sounds like we aren't going to get fair return for a trade anyway.
True, but the Shaq trade made us worse in all actuality. Our pick and roll defense became much worse, we had chemistry problems(even if there was growing chemistry problems with Marion on the team, at least we won games), and we declined much faster. Now that Shaq is gone, the Suns must get a defensive center. I still would rather have a Marion/Amare/Chandler front court than a Dudley/Amare/Fropez frontcourt.
The only problem with Marion was his high salary and some occasional complaining because he thought he deserved more credit. Both of these issues should be resolved now. Marion should know where he stands around the league. I'd like to have him back.
Because even if you get the pick, it's not like that pick makes or breaks your season anyway. Blowing it up this season or next season will still have the same result. No title. I get the argument for trading away pieces now so you can load up on talent or future picks. That makes more sense to me than rolling out a "competitive" team that won't make the playoffs or get bounced in the first round.
