Regardless, he's a perfect compliment to the Suns best player, and he is only on the hook for 2 more years at 12 mil per. Even if he is constantly injured, it's only a two year mistake. I trust our training staff we'll be able to keep him effective.

A two year mistake that could hurt us in the 2nd year. The next season is pretty much depleted, but we could at least have a shot at some better options in 2010. Also, he was a 9/9 guy last season; not worth $12 mil/season and whatever compensation we would have to give up IMO.

The positive of a healthy Chandler is that the Nash to Chandler alley oop would be one of the most lethal plays in basketball, but I'm not confident he will be the guy he was before the injuries. Too many surgeries in one offseason for me to swallow.

Understand, but he is coming off two major surgeries. Is he going to be 100% this year? Is he going to play enough games? Magic 8-ball says "Outlook fuzzy" at this time

Well, of course, but that's why he's available at all. It's like buying refurbished electronics gear. You know it's not quite the same as new, but you hope that the reduced price will make it worth it.

Dumb

Gambo finds the tiniest rumors he can just so he can stir things up on the radio and intrigue his listeners. The guy is a joke. I wouldn't believe anything he says about trade rumors.

Lakers-they are better.......

Please see response below. Could not have said it better myself.

Give credit where credit is due.

You basically bashed every playoff team and put the Suns on a pedestal. For example, you say that the Lakers are lackadaisical and take plays off. Well, they did win the championship, right? And you can't fault SA for getting Jefferson. That is a huge acquisition and makes them relevant again. Just about everyone else is status quo at this point

The only team out of your list I agree with is Houston. They will not have Yao and Artest, plus they will not have T-Mac for the beginning of the season. We could possibly knock them out of the playoffs and make a run for the 7th or 8th seed. But there is one other team that may look a lot better next season that shouldn't be overlooked: the OKC Thunder.

I could not have said it better. sunsallday can bash or poke holes all the wants but all of those teams were better then the Suns. Let's not also forget that in prior years even though the Suns had a better record, some of those teams owned us in head to heads.

I read nothing in that post to sway me that the West is getting weaker.

Marion to dallas, for 7 million a year.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4310011

I have no idea what the hell dallas is doing. They are clearly behind lakers, san antonio, denver. They are clearly no where near being contenders. Only reason they got into the second round last year is because s.a. had two players.

And they resign jason kidd, who might be best used as a back up now. Gortat was a solid move. Then they give marion 7 million, after he had a horrible year?

How's your reading comprehension? There's nothing in that article to suggest that a deal is close to being completed. For openers, Dallas will have to come up with something Toronto wants.

I would love Marion back. We could sign him to a 3 year deal, let Clark and Dudley develop. Clark would be excellent off the bench and our depth would really improve.

A lineup of

Nash/Dragic/Barbosa
Richardson/Barbosa/Tucker
Marion/Dudley/Clark
Amare/Amudson/Frye/Clark
Chandler/Lopez/Stoudemire

That is extremely deep.

:yeahthat:

that would be fun to watch

Reading comprehension is fine, should have been more explicit in my post that is was a strong possibility, not a done deal.

No need to be a horse's ass about it.

There is a lot of talk on what the Suns might do with Wallace (buyout or trade), but very little about Pavolivic. Pavolovic' buyout feature is very attractive even to the Suns. However, could he somehow be used in a trade to Phoenix' advantage?

Stackhouse's option makes it possible, but they would have to throw Toronto picks or something interesting. From what I can tell, BC has to renounce just about everything to put together the space to get Hedo signed.

We should offer Marion the full MLE with max raises and an option year soon. He is a great deal at that price.

I wonder if his feelings are so hurt that he would not do it.

Marion would play sf, Clark, pf and Amare center. And I would love it.

Marion would be sort of redundant with Josh Howard in Dallas. I wonder whether Howard is on the move.

I really hope this happens, because it would be hilarious to watch all the Mavericks troll Marion-bashers suddenly backpedal about what a great player he is and how they're thrilled to have him.
