We decided that vote was because he didn't want to take sides on who to vote off so he cast a vote that he knew wouldn't matter. If you remember he said something like "This vote is a throwaway" when he cast the vote.

I thought he did that to avoid breaking his oath regarding his kid's life.

As we head into March Madness and lose Survivor for two weeks, it's time for a little "unseen footage" aka fluff. Repeats, I can’t stand them during the actual run of a season however, there was some interesting new footage from Camp Crazy.

The montage of clips from different episodes truly shows how crazy (acting?) Shane has been; tell me your son isn’t named “Boston Powers”. Please. However the moonlight birthday serenade tops the new stuff from Casaya, along with, in no particular order… Tina feasting on 1000 year old oysters she bashed out of their hiding place, and kept to herself (smart move but it didn’t save you), Melinda and Cirie licking water off leaves intense thirst will help you get over intense fear, the snake dinner (tastes like chicken) and the great soap debate of '06. When Shane argued that the soap belonged to "the lunatic," I felt that could have described just about anyone in the tribe. Other than revealing why Bobby and Danielle disliked each other, not much was brought to light, but I enjoyed the additional Casaya footage anyway. Sadly we only spent a little time learning about life on Exile Island and even less time with the folks over at La Mina

On March 30 we will return to find not only who our secret “airlifted” out contestant is but will find Terry and Aras will battle for the top-dog spot. Sorry yoga-boy, your only position will be downward-facing dog, courtesy of the hidden immunity idol.

Nick got teh boot, and nobody was airlifted off although Bruce got his lip cut and teeth chipped when someone (Nick maybe) accidentally hit him with the machete. They were building something, Bruce needed a rope cut, and when it cut through the rope, the blade hit Bruce. He spit out blood but no airlift yet.

They merged so the team of 4 tried to swing Bruce or anybody else but couldn't. The first 4 votes read by Jeff were all Shane, who looked pissed, but the last 6 were all Nick.

Next week shows Terry talking about having the idol but nobody believing him, he won immunity last night or they'd have voted for him last night and found out he has the idol.

Merge time finally arrives, with some mad scrambling, extremely arrogant behavior and highly cheesy lines "Marvin Gaye said it best: Let's get it on" and "Bobbing and weaving like Sugar Ray Leonard" were the gems that aired, but I have a feeling "It's on like Donkey Kong" was uttered at some point, too.

Terry was unsuccessful in building numbers but unsurprisingly holds both tokens of immunity. Bruce painted a pretty impressive flag for the new Gitanos tribe, and what did he get as a reward? Nick's machete in the face. Remind me to never build a house with Nick, go fishing with Sally or do anything at all near Shane.

Talk about winning the bad-neighbor award: Those former Casayas shouldn't have been rubbing it in — Shane would have been gone if Terry had shared that idol, had he given the one he earned to Nick and use the hidden one on himself. Though they have not said how they work the selection if the idol is used, do they vote again or is it on the person with the next highest number of votes?

The challenge was beyond dull. Aren't those endurance-type games usually saved until later in the game? But I did laugh at Aras' Ed Grimley hair and Shane getting shot down when he sought food. The tribe mates were smirking heartily as Austin gave away his entire plan at tribal council — I'm not sure whether it's because he blew his cover or they found it humorous that he thinks he is stronger than Nick and Terry. I was disappointed with the outcome: Nick seemed decent, if flaky, and it would have been great to see snotty Shane take the walk of shame.

In the first episode when they first introduced the idol they said that if it is used then the person with the second most votes goes home.

Thanks, I must have missed that.

So it would have been Shane that went. Serious miscalculation by former La Mina, as much as I dislike him, Shane is a strong player. One episode after he want out of his alliance he actually rallies them to get the person he wanted kicked off.

Said that myself at the time but I think I understand Terry's thought process. he wants to keep the hidden idol all the way as long as he can so it's his get out of jail free card. Plus if he gave immunity to someone else they would have just voted for Sally instead of Nick and she would have gotten the 6 votes. They have to tell you before the vote if they're giving it up.

Despite Austin's protests of how difficult his stint on Exile Island was, it seemed like there were some sparks flying between him and Danielle. Too bad they couldn't use them to start a fire to stay warm. At least when Sally, Aras and Bruce had to huddle together for warmth, they were rewarded with food. Sally put it best with her comment: "I never thought I could be cold and wet and in a bed with two strange men and feel so comfortable."

Did anyone really think that their tribe mates would feel sympathy for their overstuffed bellies and inability to eat all the bacon? Shane made me laugh out loud when he sarcastically said, "Those are some quality problems." I would have had a real problem trying to remember all the rules for that immunity challenge. Tough-as-nails Sally (whom I'm totally rooting for now) made a valiant effort, Terry won... again, surprise. He might be able to milk this immunity-idol thing all the way to the final four and since no one seems inclined to flip that may be the only way to make it, aside from winning ALL the challenges. However the secret is out cause you know sure as shooting the identity of its owner will spread through camp.

Could Terry have given the “hidden” idol to Austin after the vote? And then would it have been Aars that got the heave ho? If so that may have been the time to do it. Little La Mina is down to just two members. I was surprised that Danielle didn't take the immunity-idol bait. Her eyes lit up at the prospect and she sure didn't seem happy to vote off her new pal Austin, misplaced loyalty to the Casaya because she hits the road right after Bruce if they get the chance.

On the side did I imagine a trailer that had someone being airlifted off the island, or is that coming later?

I will miss Austin. He is super hot. I would spend an eternity on Exile Island with him.

Carry on.

That Shane busts my gut.

:biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Is Terry screwing himself, saying that he'll slide these people the Immunity Idol, then not doing it??

It's time for a "Scumbags" speech.

Terry really has no intention of giving up that immunity idol, does he? Not that I blame him, he has awesome challenge prowess, but that little idol stands between him and elimination. Now that all his former La Mina tribe mates are gone, I don’t think he offers the idol to anyone who is left. I felt bad that Sally wasn't able to shake up the game one tribe always seems to pick the other apart. Now we are left with six crazy Casayans and Terry. I think if Terry makes it to the final two, the others will hold his multiple wins against him, and he ultimately loses.

That was one crazy slingshot deal, when they won I though we had our injury as her team catapulted Courtney straight up. The family videos give a bit of insight into the various characters and the winners return with luxury items. I'm anticipating some huge emotional wrecks when it comes time for the family visits.

Jeff was right saying the former Casaya crew has been overconfident. No one feels the need to fight for immunity? Just pig and I do mean pig down some burgers? What are these people doing to their bodies? After being on what can be compared to prisoner of war rations they hump down 2+ burgers each with fries in the amount of time it takes to solve the typical survivor puzzle? The editors may choose not to show it but I bet some of them pay.

Courtesy of that little immunity idol, Casaya has to start picking each other off nest week. Aside from being the most dysfunctional tribe ever, the six of them are also one of the tightest alliances we've seen and they do provide the laughs---this week Shane has Cirie checking out his red, um, nether regions and Cirie comparing it to diaper rash, I think it is probably closer to jungle rot but hey that is just me.

the one reason I can think where Terry HAS to keep the idol is he's concerned one of the immunity challenges might be structured in a way that lets the rest of them gang up on him and get him out.

but it's certainly reached the point where I don't know if he can do anything BUT save himself with it, I don't think he's going to be able to leverage it a whole lot. Typically when the preview shows someone talking about shaking it up, they never follow through.

My guess is this week is the someone airlifted off the island episode. The preview kind of implied it was Bruce(showed him sick saying I'm in trouble), but again it would surprise me if it actually was Bruce. I'm guessing Shane goes into DT's from lack of coffee.

Courtney is out there. :)

I'm not sure what they are called but if you are talking about those things she was walking along the beach playing with my daughter used the same sort of thing to practice her balance/coordination when working with fire batons. They are a cross between a yo-yo, clackers (if you remember those) and chucks.

I thought you were talking about her 'Stache. That thing is becoming Mark Curtisesque.

Anybody else squirming on the couch when they showed Bruce doubled over in pain? What the hell could they have been eating that blocked him up that badly? Scary stuff.

Absolutely, I felt so bad for Bruce that paired with the constant talk of "Did you poop?" and "Dropping the deuce” prevented me from even considering a review of the episode. I hope we are back to seeing some Survivor challenges this Thursday. I just knew that immunity pig out would come back to haunt them.

I liked last night's episode. Shane looked totally shocked as anything! I think Danielle screwed herself. She could have voted with Terry and Courtney and then told them about Cirie's plan.

They better watch out for Cirie. She's playing the game really well.

Cerie is playing very smart--it was a very astute observation (and resulting plan of action) that Courtney was a dangerous player--not because she was strong, but because strong players wanted her to come along for the ride.

Terry is un-F'n-stoppable. 'nuff said.

I'm glad Jeff brought up the folly in the reasoning to vote Aras off. I said it immediately to my wife when Terry was conferring with Dannielle and Courtney about who to send to exile island. Terry said "it will weaken him for the immunity challenge." Well, duh, who does that help? Certainly not Danielle and Courtney--it only helps Terry at this point.

If Shane and Co. stayed tight, they weren't playing "individual" immunity. They were all playing to beat Terry. They seemed to forget that, and it went bad (not that I think anyone could have beaten Terry anyhow. The guy is just too smart, too athletic, too strong and too driven. He won't lose immunity 2x in this game, IMO).

Okay, it must be hard to have to limit social contact to the same set of people, not of your own choosing, week after week, but Shane an imaginary blackberry? Entertaining, dang odd and hopefully a strategy; the device allowed him to "talk" to people "not on the island", I wonder was he able to contact his home planet? You have to give him this; it's quite a feat to be the oddest person on a team that includes a yoga guru and a fire dancer.

Earning his team the reward challenge was little help to Terry, aside from sending the tough competition into Exile. Terry still needs to win immunity to stay and his hidden idol must be used by the final four. This episode he not only wins reward and immunity, (a sort of uninspiring “hang in there” challenge, that Cassayans did not plan for) but also the spankin' new SUV. Has anyone has told him about the "car curse?" He might be the first to overcome it, heck he’s winning everything else

Lots of scrambling went on, but ultimately she who caught the biggest fish also played the best game subtly bending lesser beings to her will. Cirie's takeover may only be temporary but it was an inspiring Survivor move, I’m oddly proud of her.

It was good to see Courtney depart, the tactic of pissing and moaning your way to the final two has been done to death, and it was nice to see Bruce looking so much healthier taking his place on the jury. Plus I love it when the person getting booted is actually shocked.

Whats a real shame is that Terry is easily the best survivor player of all time. Yet he will not win the million. He really is going to get screwed!
