Ok, I've been watching some of the replay on espn, and I believe the one big adjustment we should make for game 7, is to switch raja onto sam, and marion onto mobley. I say this for two reasons:

1) You look at mobley's box score, and you see only 9 points, but he had 6 assists. With most, if not all, of these being open shooters/cutters.
Mobley has size on Raja, and has done a pretty decent job on him in the post. So much so, that there were several times that the suns had to double him in game 6, leaving open shots. Mobley should not be able to post up shawn marion, when marion is at his defensive best, like this. Thus, by playing mobley straight up, there is one less double team/post threat you have to worry about.

2) I actually think raja has done a better job on cassell, than marion, when raja has had the chance to guard him. Raja has a lower base than marion, and has done a much better job staying in front of sam. Marion's length has a bigger impact on sam's shot, but most of the time marion is backed up enough (because he can't stay in front of cassell as easily as bell) that his length is negated.

It think you slow down two players by making the switch.

Did Mobley ever actually score on Bell? This was a source of frustration for me all game long. I could not understand why we were sending double-team help for Bell when Mobley would post him. As far as I remember he never showed he could score on Bell.

The only guy I would double-team would-be brand, and I would do it hard the second he touched the ball. Otherwise I would make these guys prove that they can score at a high rate without the double teams.

Diaw is undersized against Kaman, but that doesn't mean he has to let the cave and go anywhere he wants and post up. Diaw is my favorite player, but he really was disappointing last night on both ends of the floor.

Id certainly be up for trying it. One big problem w/ Marion on Sam is that Marion is known for not staying on his feet, and Sam is the master of that pump fake- then step into you move.

Why do we even double Mobley? He has some post up games but he is not Brand. Unless we were trying to trap him?

Bell on Cassell is the best choice. Marion is too jumpy.

Diaw has been really disappointing last 3 games or so... he needs to be a little more aggressive.

Bell at 6'5" IS bigger than Mobley 6'4", but I like bell on cassel and Marion on Mobley cause Sam just sucks shawn in and jumps into him. I've seen enough of that already. Diaw looks tired, physically weak. Its been a long year for Boris, starting with the euro championships and playing bigs all year for the suns.

Raja should be on Cassell, freeing up Marion to work on Brand/Kaman. If TT or Marion get in foul trouble again tonight, this will be our last game of the season.

There is one reason in favor of keeping Marion on Sam - when they run the Sam/Elton pick and roll, Marion can switch on to Brand with more chance of success. What I'd like to see the Suns do with that P&R is trap Sam more often - TT isn't bad at trapping when he does it and its ridiculous when he switches to leave anyone but Marion on Brand. Him on Sam makes it more ridiculous.

Other than that I like Raja on Sam and Shawn on Mobley and I think the trick is to mix it up... ending the game with Raja on Sam. Also, when TT is not in the game or if they're trapping Sam on the P&R then have Raja on Sam. This isn't from fear of Mobley vs Raja - I think Raja defends Sam better and it tends to put Shawn in a better position to rebound.
