This is a new series that started this past week... stars Tom Hardy as an estranged son who gets home to London just in time for his fathers funeral and will reading. he has been lost and presumed dead in Africa for ten years apparently.
the pilot episode was mostly building characters and setting for the most part,...theres is a bit of mystical aspects to the show...not sure how it will turn out but it has my attention so far... the main character has an air of menace about him which I am hoping to see come to fruition.

anyone else catch the pilot?

Well...is it any good? Usually anything with Hardy in it is pretty good, so hopefully this follows suit.

I enjying it. It is not what I expected from the previews but it is a very interesting show. I was expecting mass amounts of violence and debauchery but so far that is not the case. The show is intriguing and makes you think,...lots of riddles and unanswered questions.
do you remember a video game from the mid nineties called MYST? That is what watching this show reminds me of...it is one puzzle after another, clues dropped here and their, but as soon as you think you have the answer there are more riddles. Delaney himself is an enigma, he knows things he shouldn't know and there are only hints as to why.

or it could just be a show about an odd man trying to take revenge against the biggest corporate entity in the world for killing his father and making him a slave in Africa.

Awesome show, I watched from the beginning. It is dark beyond dark. 2 episodes left after this week. Occasionally have to put the subtitles on. A few of those characters (Atticus) are unintelligible.

Is Winter dead? Thought that was her dead in the mud, but it looks like her alive in the preview for next week) Murder comes easy to these folks.

Best show on TV now until The Americans comes back on in a few weeks.

I thought it was her as well.

As far as subtitles, I watch with them on as well. And also on The Young Pope.

Loving it. Do subtitles really work nowadays on TV? They never used to do much of a job. I'll have to check and see.

It works fantastic. I use Closed Captioning via DirecTV.

One helluva season finale last night. Only in the last 2 episodes did I recognize that Atticus was the actor who played Tommy in Snatch. Stephen Graham.

Next up "The Americans", another FX brilliant show.
