Did anyone realize that New England has 2#1's; 2#2's; 1#3; and 2#4's in this years draft. WOW

Then the draft is the perfect place to add talent...
300k over is hell? The Pats are in pretty good shape. Antowain Smith will be cut. 3 million is free right there. Ty Law pretty much says he's willing to restructure his contract. Something might be done with Willie McGinest and Troy Brown... after that the Pats don't have much of a problem. If you want to see cap room hell look at the Titans or the DolphinsOriginally posted by Snausages

The Pats will trade for somebody that will be franchised.

Why? The don't exactly have cap space, so just adding the 2 #1s, and 2 #2's would be cost effective, and would add more talent.
Signing a franchised player wouldn't be a cost effective alternative. I noticed this (what the thread is about) last year during the draft. The Pats are set for years to come if they play their cards right.

Would you consider trading out of our #3 for New England's #21; #32 and #56 (their two 1st rounders and their 1st second rounder)?

If I could then package #32 #56 and our third rounder to move up to say #10, then sure! Three of the top 34 picks, not too bad.
