I don't see that. Tebow is making throws now that he couldn't have made earlier in the season. You can see improvement in the guy almost every week and I think it's premature to say that this is all he'll ever be. IMO, he passed Skelton by several weeks ago and the gap widens every week. I don't know if he'll ever be a great QB but I'm not going to bet against the guy.

Steve

Really ?

So, how has Tebow past John Skelton ?

Both only have 1 loss on the season, both are inconsistent throwing the ball, yet both win games, and make the plays when they need to be made.

Sorry, I don't see that. Not at all.

Michael Lombardi had a paragraph about Tebow in his equivalent of the MMQB. Basically he said that the Broncos started Tebow to mollify the fan base, fully expecting him to fall on his face, then Elway and company woud start rebuilding and discarding Josh McDaniel's players in the coming offseason. He said after Sunday's win over da Bears, that plan has reluctantly been discarded.

Of course, if the Broncos lose 3 straight, I'm sure it could be resurrected.

Have you watched the Broncos play or just the highlights? He really doesn't have the weapons that we have. He's making much better throws today then he was against Miami for example. Yes, they both just have one loss but if you're going to compare them based on their records, I'm pretty sure 7-1 trumps 4-1. Neither team has played a great schedule but they have wins over the Raiders, Jets, Chargers and Bears during that stretch.

In the end though, all I can say is I watch both of them play and Tebow looks like the better QB to me right now.

There are many similarities between the two for sure. However some distinctions I've noticed are:

- Skelton possesses a far better throwing motion. Tebow's motion and the amount of time it takes for him to load up and get the ball out will always be a detriment. That said, he just might be athletic enough to overcome this...
- Even though Skelton is a solid athlete, Tebow is a better athlete and better runner.
- Tebow is more instinctive

I root for the ridiculousness of Tebow winning the way he does. I don't care about all that other stuff some people love about him. That being said, ESPN needs to get their heads out of you know where because nobody is going to watch that network if it is 24/7 Tebow stroking.

And Tebow sees the field incredibly well when he's on the move. He's always looking downfield while he's scrambling and when he makes the throw it's pretty much always either a reception or an incompletion. Neither one of these guys is the reason their team is close come the fourth quarter but Tebow is much more responsible for the late game success than Skelton is.

Why not? People were watching the ESPN channels when it was pretty much 24/7 Tebow bashing.

I am a Tebow watcher. Actually, I don't know how anyone can't watch this situation. It is just too crazy.

When comparing the two, I see two very inconsistent QB's that have there moments of horrificness and moments of awe.

But both are clutch, IMO.

The difference I see between Skelton, and Tebow, IMO, is that Tebow can will things to happen when he needs to, while Skelton is able to throw some the of nicest passes I have ever seen, when it is clutch time.

His pass to Doucet last week was perfect.

The fact people still watch ESPN at all amazes me. Regardless of what the topic of the day is.

ESPN is to sports what MTV is to music.

And it's about to get worse. Prepare for non-stop coverage of the child molestation cases when they go to court. It won't be long before we'll all pine for the days of wall-to-wall Tebow coverage. What this world needs now is a 24 hour sports channel.

I hope it is nonstop coverage? Won't be.

Maybe not but it will certainly feel like it. As far as I'm concerned, it's no longer a sports story and ESPN has no more business covering it than they do the Primaries. But ESPN knows how to ride a scandal.

And flame it so it grows, as per the Syracuse story.

Athletic departments cover up sex abusersfor years, allegedly? Should be wall to wall coverage.

If he loses to one of the best football teams in the NFL on Sunday, he's a fraud, right? ...right??

Why? And, after the initial reports, why should it be on a Sports network other than perhaps the highlights (or lowlights)? It's news, real news, and it belongs on CNN and the like. There are people that enjoy watching stuff like that, I'm not one of them. If I thought airing it 24 hours a day would keep something like that from happening again perhaps I'd be more inclined to appreciate their approach but I don't think so.

Go Patriots!!
Yeah! Go Tom Brad---er, wait. I'm not supposed to like him because he's pretty and sets records. ...Go Bill Belli--um, wait, he's a giant douche. I can't like him either. Go non-descript NE RB who doesn't make waves or headlines! Beat that MFer Tebow so that I can be more content in my own unhappy life! Yea!

+1 although I could get behind a Go Gronk chant.

Yeah, as an aside, it's amazing how that offense keeps transforming itself to suit the talents of the roster. That 2-TE formation is SO difficult to defend with Gronk and Hernandez.

No one is better at that then Belichick (unfortunately).
