Hmm... maybe the scheme sucks Dave. Having Barrett "cover" Isaac Bruce by playing 5-10 yards off him with NO UNDERNEATH COVERAGE is pretty damn stupid. Curl patterns and quick-ins kill this defense every time.

Mac doesn't ever want to give up the "big-play". He's been here long enough (Tobin's tenure, etc.) that he knows all to well about the player "here we go again" mentality in the past.

So to counter, he has become a "bend don't break" coach. Good idea, but there is a need to adjust during NFL games. NO, there was no big "home run" plays that took the wind out of the sail today, but there were a lot of 7 yard slants that DID! To the tune of 37 points.

Coach...Maybe go ahead, and let the other team get a big play every once in a while. I'd rather take the chance and die only once or twice during a game. Today was a sloooow death. We died 84 times!
