The Rangers have been scuffling all season...but of course, entering the series tonight they suddenly get hot and are coming off a series sweep of defending champs - Houston.
There are no easy outs in MLB...particularly so it seems if you're the Dbacks. Gonna be critical that we at minimum split this 2 game series, as after the day off on Wednesday, the Giants come to town for a 4 gamer. SF has had their way with us recently at Chase, sweeping us the last time they came to town...

Ray with a leadoff triple and Escobar with a sac fly and the D-backs are on the board.
Somehow, I wouldn't have had confidence in Jake "Mild As A" Lamb to do the same.
But then, he would have been on the bench vs. a lefty starter anyway, but I wouldn't have had confidence in Owings to hit a long fly either.
Anyway, it's 1-0 D-backs. We need some more. And Escobar with a base hit, and is stranded.
Ray hasn't given up a run, but he is not in control, once again.

What the hell is it with this team and the pen??? Seems like whenever one reliever struggles, they all struggle! Yoshi couldn't throw strikes and De la Rosa and now Andriese have gotten pounded! Damn!!
